A breh please quote me and break down to me why this is a good pick. All I see is a dude who scores 85% of his buckets in the paint against undersized players in college, has no jumpshot, bad length, is a tweener who can't really dribble and won't grab rebounds against centers or pfs.

6'9 270 is a tweener now? he has great post moves, footwork, a lefty, etc... you act like this is the 90s and the NBA is filled with great big men.....Randle will be fine

Makes sense

...The Kentucky product is already a solid post player who might think a bit too highly of his one-on-one skills. Too often he took on three defenders and failed to hit the open man with a pass...

...Randle, used to taking over games and being the go-to man, is clearly still adjusting to this fact, and at times, his competitiveness gets in the way of making the smarter play, passing the ball off. “Pass, Julius!” has become a common refrain this season...

...after three games in which the Cats have flourished with their star player on the bench, there’s no denying that at times, they move better as a squad without him...

At the spot we were, how can you hate this pick? When the lottery happened, all I could hope for was Randle, Smart, or a trade.

I think Randle gon feast against SINGLE COVERAGE. He never faced that in college and still put up numbers

also you can't discount the benefit of playing with a player like Kobe. with the amount of attention he'll draw, Randle will have alot of open 18 foot jumpers. if he can become automatic on that, he'll be a beast.

we need to get a rim protector like DeAndre Jordan beside him though. he'll never be more than a mediocre man defender and poor rim protector. like blake griffin.
