Knicks can offer him 5/129m. what the exact after tax numbers? Melo will be great for 2-3 years max so a 4yr contract would work. Then again Kobe's contract makes it near impossible to really put a contending team on the court. So what's the point of signing Melo?

Looks like we are gonna have about $7Mill to spend after Melo takes the Max from us. Should be able to do something with it.
