Knicks can offer him 5/129m. what the exact after tax numbers? Melo will be great for 2-3 years max so a 4yr contract would work. Then again Kobe's contract makes it near impossible to really put a contending team on the court. So what's the point of signing Melo?

Melo either goes to LA or stays in NY. He ain't gonna live in Texas. And he damn sure ain't raising his kid in Chiraq. Plus they can't offer him as much money as the Lakers.

He's not going to LA, why do you keep saying this? He's only leaving NY if he's absolutely convinced leaving the money on the table will have him competing for a championship ASAP.
