must be nice to have a Monday thru friday gig
these a$$holes complaining don't know how good they got it
it seems like when your at work time is slow, but on the weekends when you enjoying yourself time flies...It’s the main reason people feel overworked. Most job sites give two weeks of vacation/sick time. Some give more.
But still, Americans don’t use it. They scared of work overload when they leave, scared to have the boss fill their spots, scared cause “but what if I get sick and need it”
Bump that. You NEED time away from work. That’s straight up science facts. You need a break and to unwind. People fought for that time off law. Not so you can feel bad about using it and still work as if you never had it
If you can’t stay up on a Friday, or get things done during the week. If you can’t even enjoy a weekend... you definitely need an extra day off

In my twenties, I did the same shyt every weekend, for like 1000 weekends consecutive (barring holidays and vacation(s))
- Friday- Get home from work, usually around 3, take a nap until 7:45, sharp
- Order a pizza, or sub, just stock up on carbs
- Kill a 12 pack of bud light, a big (double) of my Jameson 12 yr
- Get a cab to my favorite dive bar for 10pm (cheap bears, and knew the owner, so I would always get free drinks) stayed there until 12:30, getting fukking blotto
- Got a cab to a more happening bar/club, ALWAYS bacherlette parties, birthdays, girls nights out, so ALWAYS women
- That’s when I always either scored, or blacked out
- The percentage was around 75% black out/ 25% scored, poor ratio, but still for the number of time spent, significant amount of strange.
- If didn’t score, always made it to my end of night dive, where I also was friends with the owner. This bar has all the strippers from the 2 strip clubs down the street, after their shifts, and a decent DJ.
- If I ended up there, I knew it was either a cab home or call my 4am girl, who obsessed over me, but I just couldn’t commit in any way to her. I always regretted that decision the next day morning. She lived in kind like a jr. Project, about 20 miles from my house, and I have this weird thing where if I am not at my house, it doesn’t matter if I went to sleep at 5 am, drunk as fukk.....I wake up exactly an hour later, ready to go back to my house. It’s hard as fukk to get a cab to pick you up at 6 am. I always ended up walking to the diner down the street, eating a full breakfast and waiting to find a cab to get me
- If I ended up at home, it would be at about 4:30. My house is on a culdasac, but what’s unique, is that at the end of the culdesac is a service exit with a 24hr McDonald’s. So I would pay the kid working the register and the grill, to make me all sorts of weird combonation shyt like “secret menu” shyt you read about. It sounds corn, but I was always drunk as fukk, so whatever.
- I would bring the food home, end up passing out before I ate any of it, usually.
- Woke up around 11am, hungover as fukk.
- Recovered until Monday morning.
nikka I rode ATV's this weekend.
interesting was it fun? I always wanted to get my motorcycle licenseinteresting was it fun? I always wanted to get my motorcycle license
... if you not tryna fukk with a entertaining documentary and a well-prepared meal / takeout at my spot, i'm literally leaving your ass on read. fukk being in an overpriced, overpacked club unless we have a table.
This, a lot of people treat structure like its a weekday-only thing, and the weekends like a free-for-all.I don't know about you guys but I wake up early on the weekends. 6:30 and I'm up. I can bang out some work in the first couple hours of the day before I go play some soccer.
If you take care of your errands during the week, less weekend stress.
If you go out during the week, more time on the weekend.
The average American should not be tired coming home from work Friday afternoon.
This, a lot of people treat structure like its a weekday-only thing, and the weekends like a free-for-all.
Structure for both, with room for rest, fun, and relaxation, is important.
