I'm in NY and no they don't get play and most kids are listening to A Boogie.

They're over 30 and make music that reflects that. I listen to them and I've put several people onto them but we're all 30 and up and like that Ka/Roc Marci music. They'll always be underground but I can see them getting some features especially Conway. I know the Good Music camp is fukking with them. They're ceiling is probably Freddie Gibbs or Currency. They'll carve out a niche and eat off of a cult following.

Who gets play and who doesn't has no reflection on the quality of music.

I don't know where each kid is from specifically but I ride the train at least twice a day during the week and I've heard Gunn being bumped. He ain't the hottest artist in any hood out here, but I've heard it.

Most folks not from places like Oakland, Houston, L.A., Atlanta, New York, and Chicago usually get play in other markets before their lil cities/towns start playing their music.

Plus, Westside Gunn and Conway live in Atlanta.

They're from Buffalo and rep it, but they're not there, moving around, touching the people in the city consistently.

The nikka Conway got shot up in the city, so that's probably a wise move on their part.
