I mean if you like media and consume it why shouldn't you pay for it? If nobody buys the things you like they don't get made. Streaming services are an easy buy.

Porn is another animal. Amateur porn will always be made for free and couldn't care less if professional porn gets made or not.
Anime will still be made regardless if you sub or not. The fan subs will always be there. So the threat of not subbing to these services is very minimal. Also, considering that a lot of times fan subs provide better subs and content than these actual services.

Hell the only services that actual provides good subs from the Japanese fluent people I talk to is HIDIVE. Netflix and Crunchyroll at best is usually just serviceable. Not to mention those 2 places treat their translators fukking awful with the work conditions they give them with the amount of anime they provide.

If someone really wants to support anime buying blu-rays and merch is where you would want to do it, not subscription services. The biggest appeal of these services is accessibility to anime, but then again most pirate sites are easy to find so that argument doesn't work well.

Watched 2 more new seasonals. BlueLock and Bocchi the Rock!

Damn coming off Ao Ashi this show feels so different. Ao Ashi felt like a true character driven high level soccer anime. Based on the first episode BlueLock seems like a battle royal disguised as a soccer anime.

Story is basically 300 forwards are selected. And 1 will come out on top to play on the Japanese national team. Their coach is on some crazy juice. :mjlol: Even if you don't like soccer I say give this a try since at the very least it seems like a show you will get entertained by. Plus they were flexing with the animation in the 2nd half of the episode. :damn:

As for Bocchi the Rock. It is a pretty standard CGDCT's music anime. Assumingely it will mainly deal with Bocchi's anxiety issues since she is a big introvert given that when the played for the ground she stayed in the box. Seems like a very cute show with a lot of character if you are into these type of SoL.

One of the reason ill never gonna start one piece or naruto. Too many episodes and fillers probably drive me crazy
Naruto is easier to watch from start and finish, unless you're going to watch Shippuden right after, then it'll take you awhile.

Anime in general yes. A particular series you like? Maybe maybe not. Outside the uber popular shows that are getting made regardless there are plenty of shows that get made and are on the bubble and the level of support they get could make all the difference between them continuing or not. Like YouTube Premium Crunchyroll pays out based on what subs watch what shows. The anime production committee the broadcast network and Crunchyroll hash out deals to provide these shows on this legal avenue and they get paid for that.

If somebody is out here pirating right now they aren't going to buy Blu-Rays and merch. I'm talking about someone that consumes this media doing the bare minimum to support the industry. The physical Blu-Ray market isn't long for this world anyway that's shrinking to only the most hardcore otaku.

For the original Naruto you can stop at 141 cause the rest of that shyt is filler and trash. I never watched Shippuden so I don't know how long that is.

HiDive is so fukkin trash, can’t watch that shyt anywhere but my phone. Can’t believe nikkas stopped uploading Call of the Night on YouTube after 10 episodes.

They did some old school anime shyt with the small screen n some other shyt on the other side.

Guess I gotta watch the rest of this on my phone.

:martin::martin:
I’m canceling that shyt subs be backwards with the beginning of sentence on the bottom instead of top
Doesn’t leave off where I’m at without stuttering so I have to start over
Can’t watch it on Apple TV without issues
So I have to on iPad granted I can screen it to my Apple TV but isn’t the point cuz it makes it even smaller doin that
Just always issue trying to watch it and hate that I gotta :camby: it but shouldn’t be this damn difficult to watch or pain in ass just to read the damn subs

I feel the same exact way, but you gotta realize that you don’t gotta watch it quickly and everyone else had to watch all them damn episodes too.

I feel that way about Bleach and that’s the shortest out of the three. Imma just watch that shyt and if it gets ass probably drop it.

I’m at that point right now where I watched most of the older animes except those.
