Honestly outside of the two female leads and the mother I don't care about any other character on Gundam. All the earth kids in the group I haven't even bothered to remember their names. There are a shyt ton of uninteresting characters on the show simply chewing up scenes.

The straw that broke the camel's back was the main character not really getting into her Gundam until there was less than 1/3 rd of the episode remaining.

The earth witches were just pulled out of nowhere with most of the season already done. We don't even have a clear primary antagonist at this point or a central conflict that defines the series.

Gundam Seed Destiny as much of a train wreck as it was managed to do a better job holding my interest than this show at the half way point.

They better completely abandon all that school nonsense in the next season and go full blown war.

Started watching S2 and forgot how much dialogue is in this show. Watching this weekly is just :bryan:

Saving this for a binge at the end of the season.

Angel Next Door starts off solid as expected. This will be a competent adaptation. This season is really good so far.

Handyman Saito in Another World: Yet another show where I randomly read the slightly unpopular manga ages ago, found it good enough to binge read, stopped when I got current and forgot about. Soon as I hit play, I instantly recognized it. Exterminator has far better action and world building (pest exterminator gets isekai'ed), but Handyman was highly entertaining for what it was. I remember it having VERY short chapters (almost only like 8-10 panels a section), so it'll be interesting to see how they pull off animating it.

Even this is getting a better adaptation than The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer. :mjcry:

Good first episodes for the new anime season that I've seen so far:
Trigun Stampede - It's my early standout. The animation looks great and it captured the old-school Vash's vibes pretty well.

Revenger - Samurai Assassins taking in a ronin? References to opium trade and Western threats? Some interesting weapons and character designs? I'm interested for sure.

Tale of Outcasts - A really dark, sad opening episode. But they already established a handful of interesting characters, a couple of rules for how the world works, and an MC that we'll have an easy time rooting for. Plus there was a nice after credits scene to establish a bit more of where the plot will go. This looks promising.

Handyman Saitou in Another World - This joint made me a laugh a good amount. It's a funny twist on the Isekai formula and I already like the main group.

It has some similarities to The Ancient Magus' Bride. Lots of moving pieces that make it very interesting. It has the potential to be one of the few season's underrated shows.

S2 of Vinland is gonna be really interesting since given Ep 1's setup. It being how Thorfinn gets back on his feet. Also expecting this arc to be much much characterization and less action & plot (in terms of the world itself) so interested are people are really going to be here for an amazing mature story.

Also easy to see why people are calling S2 Farmland :russ:
