For some reason I’ve been thinking about HXH lately. Might watch the 90s one somewhat soon.

@LordDeathwatch so in Bleach I’m at the aftermath part of the Zanpaktou arc where the story seems to be focused on Rukia.

Did you like this part of the arc as well?
Not nearly as much as the rest of it but at least they tried to give her some shine. It's a continuing theme throughout the show, sprinkle a little here and little there to keep relevancy but whereas she was the center of the Soul Society arc, it's never going to hit the same. So if you didn't latch onto her then, these little pieces won't make a difference. If you did, they're just icing on the cake.

End of the day, she's a textbook side character and that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

I like Rukia, I feel like she does have a lot of shine in the show so far. She had that whole back story thing with Kianshiba.

I’ve noticed with the endings it always looks like they pair Ichigo and Rukia together for some reason.

Is it me or is this season full of trash and mid besides the shows that were already established?
It's quantity over quality this season.

Tomo-Chan is a really good rom-com. Also The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady might be worth a look, tho if you are not a fan of yuri, iseaki or a genki protaginist this is a skip. Still how magic works in their world is interesting to me. Very impressive production imo.

Also @twan83 is the homie here, but Angel Next Door is taking wish fullfillment to a ridiculous degree. Author knew what he was doing aiming this to be a Light Novel with that audience rather then a manga one.

Besides that all the good budget stuff new seasonal is mid and trash. Still there’s bound to be something that someone will like that is really under the radar:

  • High card is a fun show. Animation ain’t the best but it makes great use of it.
  • Giant Beasts of Ars is one of those shows that is a slow burn that has a very interesting. Also the party has a fun dynamic with each other like a FF or Tales JRPG party.
  • Buddy Daddies is pretty fun. Tho Miri really acts like a 4 year old. Kind of surprised this has been more under the radar considering the success of SxF and it has more action initially then that show.
  • The Fire Hunter is basically a very promise world and premise. But you can tell its a passion project, but with a limited budget. When it just focuses on world building and story I think its great. But the few moments with action looks awful. If you know Japanese reading the novel would be a better idea tho that would be for minor amount of people here.
  • The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, a Joseei rom-com with an adult cast that acts like adults. It ends up being dry, but it's not like a typical adult's day is super exciting.
  • The Tale of Outcasts offers a super likable protagonist and a world of demon and what there relationship with Humans is at least interesting.

Hey she literally changed his life and he's always ready to spin the dimensional block on her behalf if necessary. Renji been crushing on her too though so who knows how that's going to go.

Either one is going to have to run the fade with Byakuya if they want to date his sister so good luck with that shyt. :mjlol:

Yeah, I was kinda surprised how little I cared about the new shows this season, I can see why now.

I saw that Ice Guy show and I was shocked at how dull it was.

At least the ones that had previous season have been good though, so there's that. I'll give that Tomo Chan show a shot :salute:

Well Ichigo already won that one on his first try.

Doesn't help the big new seasonal Spy Classroom has flopped, since that was the big new seasonal. Granted it still can be decent since it is going back to the content it skipped. But again all of these shows are either trashy shows with good adaptations/production. Or they are just something that you would rather just read tbh because either the pacing is trash or the budget is way too limited.

At least with originals you at least have the motivation to stick with it as long as the animation is decent. Even if none of them is at the level of let's say an Akiba Maid War.

Next season we got for new stuff is much better just looking at it right now:
  • Oshi no Ko
  • Hells Paradise
  • KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!
  • Insomniacs After School
Not to mention all of the sequels which we again are getting. And Vinland continuing as well.

Now we're not doing that, Byakuya whooped his ass until his Hollow had to come out to keep him from dying. So if it's just for Rukia, he's definitely not getting the assist from him this time around. :mjlol:

Hollow is going to watch him take the L and then shyt talk him inside his own soul later.:deadrose:
