@twan83 Finished the finale of DanMachi S5.
I think the storytelling, themes and characters were great here, like with S4. But I can't help, but feel the pacing didn't feel as smooth as S4. I think if this was 20 episodes like S4, the pacing issues would have smoothed out. This past season is still phenomenal, and these past 2 seasons have been a big step from the first 3 seasons. Most notably the first 2.
Would rank them: S4 > S5 >> S3 >>> S2 > S1
Rewatching S1 & S2 was hard for me personally.

Rewatching S1 & S2 was hard for me personally.
Honestly, the 2nd half of the episode had me in the feels. For Freya, she couldn't have Bell's love as either Syr or Freya. She was so dead set on making Bell's hers, she went out of line. Bell has a harem, but it felt good to see him rejecting both Syr & Freya because that love she had for Bell wasn't healthy.
The biggest thing for Freya was accepting the happiness that she felt as Syr was real. The way Bell saved her was to take away her power and wealth. Numerous times, people with high status or power can't accept what they truly want. Freya with the mindset she is a goddess with all of that responsibility, couldn't admit she was happy being Syr.
While Bell rejected her love, he didn't reject her completely. As Syr is one of the most important people to Bell as she has been with him through when he was at his worst. Great moment for Ryu as well, showing how much Syr means to them. Great way to wrap up this season.

So I was reading the comments and ya the pacing wasn’t as good as last season cuz of lack of episodes to flesh things out which would of helped a lot but for most part it was a really good season which I’m happy about and look forward to watching@twan83 Finished the finale of DanMachi S5.

I still disagree with how u view s1 and s3 tho i still enjoyed it but won’t deny cut too much shyt out and pacing issues but s2 tops as worse season too me I still like s2 but they really fukked that one up for sure
Which is nice compared to sword oratoria anime spinoff was beyond butchery and to me might be better than the main series novel and especially manga is superior

I'm at the point in Solo Leveling where I wanna see all these other characters put in work because this is already giving me Goku vibes in terms of the power scaling of the MC vs the helpI'm sure it's gonna start off with them looking dangerous and slowly turning into clowns as the story advances

Finally got around to giving Demon Slayer another shot,
on season 2 now.
Which anime yall recommend afterwards, Dr. Stone or Fire Force?
Dr. Stone the first two season is top tier.
Fire Force is a little convoluted at first but it gets better the more the story is fleshed out.
Can't go wrong either way.
