Where The Grass Is Blue
Kind of why I didn't want to bring up the action when proping the show. (Me posting that clip was something else) Like the show is really well animated. But it is more so a mix of genres and the show has a lot of heart to it.

CyGamesPictures is def one of the best studios in the anime game right now. They feel like a modern Shaft. They don't do too many shows, but the ones they do, they do an impressive job animating it. They prob get more recognition when they do their own Monogatari or Madoka since the majority of the anime they do is Uma.

As far as studios that I see people overlook Science SARU, (Though Dandadan being their breakthrough into mainstream anime might change that), Wit, Trigger and alongside CyGamesPictures.
I saw on Reddit that CyGames is supposed to be the studio animating Kagurabachi and people have been swearing by they're animation

Interesting

But idk :hubie: the chunin exams + the following war against sand village was peak writing, Kishimoto was leaving scorch marks when he wrote that shyt, y'all might've done yourselves a disservice

Minus the filler episodes Naruto was heatrocks all the way through Shippuden up until the end of Madara :whew:

ain't nothing like seeing nikkas stop a meteor at the last second only to hear the opp say "what you gonna do about the 2nd one? :unimpressed::banderas: "

*Cue 2nd meteor slamming into the one they just stopped*

:sadcam: :damn:

That's the unique thing about anime, someone will always think you're missing out on something.

There's plenty of anime that I praised in here over the years that nobody fukking watches but me and maybe one other person.
I Parry Everything is a good example of that. I think nikkas missed out on that, but I understand everyone's taste are different.

I personally don't feel like I'm missing out on Naruto. Plus only nikkas that are younger than me ever hype it up to me. I respect the popularity of it, but it has too many episodes for me to ever go back and watch so I'm cool with never watching that.

Now, I did start Super Cube and that shyt has been fukking bananas. I definitely feel like I'd be missing out if I never saw that.

I have not kept up with any anime this season what are some good ones going on this season?
  • Apothecary Diaries S2 is far away the best in terms of storytelling.
  • Black Butler if you are caught up has been fantastic.
  • If you are looking for a series with a Monogatari feel to it, Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary Season 2 is great. Visuals are good and the directing is top notch to it. Lots of depth with the character writing. Its foundation is Slice of Life Mystery, so the brehs that universally think all Slice of Life anime are bad won't like it. The story is character development first.
  • If you ain't willing to read the Novel, Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho is worth a look. Very complex and deep storytelling. People compare it to Demon Slayer and it is nothing like that. Demon Slayer being a pure battle shounen and this is not that at all.
  • There are good amount of comedies this season. Take a look at the premise to see if you are interested in them. Those being
    • Witch Watch
    • Apocalypse Hotel
    • Food for the Soul.
  • I haven't seen To Be Hero X but will give that a spin in a few weeks. It continues to next season.

It would be promising. The first arc was weak, but it has been dope since the 2nd arc started. Though not sure how they gonna deal with how the author does exposition, because it is evident af that he makes the story by the week.

I am more interested in Ichi the Witch anime, it is easily the most promising Jump series since Akane-banshi.

Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho - This anime is awesome. I tend to have mixed feelings when it comes to slow-paced media but it gripped me within the first half of the first episode.

The Beginning After The End - I just like it.

The Apothecary Diaries - A wonderfully written anime. Maomao is a cutie pie and funny.

The Unaware Atelier Master - Typical fantasy, slice of life, possibly harem anime. I just like it.

Damn see my cable didn't even carry cartoon network when I was growing up so I had to catch that era of anime outside of that channel
By the time I finally got CN, I was already a grown ass man outta high school and already seen a lot of the shyt they were showing. Only a handful of shyt like Naruto, Bleach, etc.. I didn't catch and they never looked dope enough for me to go back to it.

before cartoon network tho, the SyFy channel used to show anime like every other Saturday back in the early n mid 90s.

Cinemax used to show anime late as fukk too. shyt like Vampire Hunter D , Wicked City or FOTNS would come on at 1am and shyt.

it was a lot harder to eat if you ain't have cartoon network. Outside of a few channels, nikkas had to rely on Viz video catalogs and Suncoast and when you did, you weren't gonna waste it on some kiddie shyt like Pokemon, you gonna go for the ultra violence or cool sci-fi shyt.

I didn't watch Naruto, One Piece or DBZ until way later. Always looked like a kid show that I wasn't interested in. I watch all that stuff now but back then if the animation wasn't on Ninja Scroll level I wasnt watching it.

I remember watching Record of the Lodoss War and thought the animation wasn't great but the story was still pretty good.

I like how Yaiba stuck with that real story of Musashi pulling up late to a fight using the oars, that's his dopest feat to me.

I wonder if they'll explore the story of how he invented the 2-sword style :mjpls: prolly not since it involved him assassinating a kid :whew: was a necessary evil though

That's what I mean by missing out

Some of these shows you would've had to see during their initial run, the days of people catching up on super long running anime is over unless an abridged version is made or something

There's nikkas who never watched bleach but started with 1000 year blood war since it just came out a couple years ago :yeshrug: I'd never tell them to go back and watch OG bleach to get caught up, alot of shyt you can just guess anyway if you've been watching anime long enough to know how shyt goes

Glad you started super cube :wow: you seent how quickly they got to the shyts

I feel you on the initial run vibe, but I feel like if it's something that truly looks dope to me, I'll go and check it out eventually no matter the length or how long ago it was. I tell nikkas that missed Black Clover to go back and watch that shyt cuz I think its dope af.

I caught Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood later on and still agreed with nikkas calling it classic. I binged the fukk outta that lol
Did that with FOTNS too cuz I never saw the 2nd part where he crosses the ocean to go back to his homeland. So I started the series from the very beginning. shyt is like 200 something episodes total.

I know Naruto, Bleach and OP have way more episodes then the shyt I named, but its still the same concept to me. If I missed out on a 1000 episode boxing themed anime, nothing would stop me from going back to watch that.

It's just like @Copy Ninja said, once you kinda get introduced to anime from the adult themed door, its hard to go back to some kiddie looking shyt no matter how dope it might look or what others say about it.

I'm on episode 8 of Super Cube and my goodness that shyt is fukking lava rocks. :ohlawd:
