I'll be honest here: if you're watching it to see Sunraku fighting all the unique bosses in SLF you're going to hate the anime imoim talking about what they are doing in the game
You will find the pacing awful looking at it that way. Sunraku will go and play a different game for reasons like being frustrated in SLF or promises he makes to his friends. Sunraku's priority is just having a good time gaming; that's it. It's funny that he ended up rematching Lycagon in S2 because he was literally fukking around and got lost on his way to a unique quest. He plays a good number of other games on the side, which are used to introduce the new characters. More specifically, where S2 ends with Sunraku and co are playing fighting game which is going to take up a good portion of S3 content. Even considering the back portion of S2, it set itself up for that.
It's more of a vibes anime at the end of the day. With the one note, how the author creates the connection between the other games and the SLF universe is well crafted. Easily the best in this genre since Log Horizon. Most of these video game anime are really just generic fantasy & isekai in terms of structure, which
I did notice King's Avatar is pretty highly rated. Prob should check that out one day.

Had to double back to this now that I'm reading Lord of Mysteries
That shyt has 1,430 chapters
I'm barely in the 80's and pretty much caught up with the stuff the anime skipped ahead to.Ngl tho this is an amazing read, I do think the anime is leaving food on the table glossing over Klein's internal monologue, this nikka funny as hell, I guess since the tone of the show is so serious they're opting to skip over all of the running gags, but it could make people think that something suspicious is going on
Like Captain Dunn's gag is he has a horrible memory, the way they showed it in the anime makes him look sketchy though, I hope they find a way to get some of those jokes off

I knew the Novel is dense but god damn.honestly in these kind of stories comedy gives breathing room for the story. More specifically gives you more investment for the cast.
I get wanting to keep the tone serious but a great directing can keep the tone while still implement the comedy.

Clevatess is cool, but man - I hate running into shows I end up liking while they're still running. This waiting a whole week for one episode shyt is so wack when it comes to anime, especially because you get like 15-18 minutes max when you account for recap, opening song, outro song and preview.
been busy as fukk lately, but now I can chill the rest of the night and catch up on all the anime I missed.

Just finished Leviathan. This is a weird one. I liked it, but honestly I really feel more could have been done with it. The characters are the highlight easily. The world just doesn't feel enough like a war setting. All things considered, I give it 7/10. Netflix did no promo for this and just batchdropped it, which upsets me the most about it 
Overall, Aleks had a good arc. He learned a lot being in war, unlike when he was young and lost his parents. He got to understand what it really is like. There are people within these countries that are struggling and receiving the brunt of this war. Sharp really was a big boost because it was people like her affected most. Though the romance subplot with them was hella forced.
Sharp was cool. She did her thing throughout. A negative point on Aleks is that it seemed his influence on Sharp was much less than what she had on him. Which is more of a thing with Aleks again. Man, that snitch was probably pissed af that they let her back
Volgar was a very interesting character throughout. Man, he was a hassle for Aleks, but for Aleks he needed to prove himself. The moment that Volgar cut a wound on Aleks's face was enough to show that his resolve was firm. Volgar was pushing his agenda on Aleks and that was selfish. But the fact he swallowed his pride and came back to him was cool and nice to see.

Only counter to this is that the war had literally just started iirc, I wasn't expecting to see any huge frontline action cuz everyone was still wondering who all was gonna be involved in it, and I really didn't want to see a ton of action cuts with this to begin with, wouldn't make sense for the characters we saw to be that close to hardened soldiers, Sharp on a ship full of rookies and Aleks a whole prince being hunted, this was always gonna be more of spy/hostage territory where you got a couple soldiers doing shyt in otherwise peaceful areas, but getting outta dodge once the big military factions showed upJust finished Leviathan. The set up reminded me of Dune (minus the only reason Paul was on the front lines, the Fremen, a warrior race who only respected leaders like that)
But yea I wish it didn't fully resolve I would've definitely been locked in if they did some more globetrotting diplomacy moves mixed with espionage in future seasons
But I also lean towards serious that stand on getting their shyt off and ending before they give us empty episodes, was rewatching Pluto earlier today and thought that was the best aspect of the whole shyt, only showed us action when it was absolutely necessary for the plot
Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze has some potential. It could be the next The Cafe Terrace and Its Goddesses level show. It is the same kind of Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister / We Nevel Learn / The Quintessential Quintuplets type show. Not sure it'll be able to pull it all together though. The male lead is not a standout character and the harem seems average at best right now.
