Also finished Uma Musume S2. Honestly, this was a big jump in quality from S1, which was pretty mediocre. The big thing is this really utilized Toukai Teiou and Mejiro McQueen as leads, then the ones from the previous season. The big theme of injuries and their obstacles for both leads made the season more unpredictable, which allowed emotional moments to hit well. The other theme of what you are playing (here, racing for) is really utilized well for both Rice Shower and Teiou. I give this one 8.5/10. Big jump from 5.5/10 from S1 that I gve.

Finished watching the first season of the remake, and Wit really animated this very well. For those that loved the OG Dragon Ball (not Z) this one would hit a comfort spot for them. The start is a bit weak since Yaiba feels more annoying, but that smooths out as it goes on. The cast is pretty solid though it is adapting the manga much faster than the OG anime. Of course, less comedy could be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. Imo the faster pacing is a +

Would rate it 8/10. As the introduction of Kaguya does add an element in the clash that is between Yaiba and Onimaru.

Kaiju no. 8 has cool moments surrounded by nonsense they talking over the radio telling Kafka the squad leader's body is literally falling apart tryna fight a Kaiju

And this nikka with some random civilian talking about trading cards nikka if you don't get yo ass over there... They literally screaming your ear what's happening

This show doesn't really bother trying to make those convenient plot moments believable at all, he could've atleast be tryna save them from a falling building or something bro just yapping

It's a fair take...... I originally grew up watching it in Spanish, but this time around I want to catch all the nuance. I also like the Japanese vocal entonations. But the subs vs dubs thing is just one of those bytch ass gatekeeper moves.......

My earliest memory of this is the clover way dub on sailor moon when she had that deep ass voice, made her sound 40




I always like the DBZ dub over the Japanese voice where Goku sounds like a little kid, it's a case by case thing.


Imo there are more bad dubs than there are good dubs tho, so I just gave up on them entirely besides the sub version of a show usually hits the Internet first in most cases





Now I DEFINITELY saw people being snobs about Chinese/Japanese sub when TBHX was airing that was pure anime elitism, you had dudes who couldn't understand either language acting like there was a big difference
