What didn't make sense to you?
Imo, some of the stand powers. I was confused a bit watching FF and that old dude with the dragon stand fighting.

You know this was a well articulated opinion and I was ready to agree.Agreed & it's ridiculously close.
There's a reason this comparison has been beat to death across every platform where anime and manga are discussed for well over a decade. HxH has a better power system & world building but YYH has better group dynamics and more likeable characters, at least in the main cast. Togashi really emphasized that Yusuke's squad is a team, in nearly every meaningful moment they're apart of a unit. With HxH, the closest you ever get is Gon and Killua on a regular basis, even then they're always their own thing. So you end up with two different approaches to character development and I can't give the edge to either one.
At the end of the day, to even have this type of contention is proof he made 2 all time greats. Definitely a GOAT.
That’s how I seen it as well, I thought it was supposed to be like that more or less. You know this was a well articulated opinion and I was ready to agree.
The more I thought about it tho, YYH group dynamic was actually kinda weak. The cool openings of them standing around staring off into space like a boyband always made me feel that. But when I thought about it, shyts not even true forreal.
Kurama was just there, he didn't really seem to have a special connection with anyone in the main cast...or anyone at all for that matter. Just the guy Hiei apparently talks to off screen.
Hiei and Kuwabara hate each other but its played off for laughs. Yuskue and Kuwabara turned into real friends but that really seems like it. When Kuwabara left the cast it didn't seem like Hiei or Kurama ever gave a fukk.
At least the HxH cast all fukk with each Lerio being the dad/big bro to the kids yet seeming like a big clumsy ass kid to Kurapika. Gon and Killua are best friends while Leorio is terrified of Killua lowkey. Kurapika being capable and serious but softens up from Gon. They played off each other well in the short time they got together and actually care about one another.
Breh, I had to rewind that shyt a few times because they kept explaining shyt.Dragon's Dream is basically a compass that points the user to their lucky and unlucky spots, as long as you're in the lucky spot you can evade all attacks and if in unlucky spots the opposite is true.
When Dragon's Dream points at an unlucky spot Kenzou can strike the Dragon which teleports/directs the attack to the enemy, if it's blocked then some Final Destination stuff will happen like the glasses hitting FF
FF won because she tricked Kenzou into leaving his lucky spot
True Killua only cared about Gon, he didn't seem to gel with anyone else in the seriesThat’s how I seen it as well, I thought it was supposed to be like that more or less.
They’re all not really friends, only Yusuke and Kuwabara. It really seems that Hiei and Kurama were there only when needed because they not friends but they're a squad when they have to be, they all got they own lives type of thing.
That’s how I feel at least.
With HxH I felt that Gon was the glue to everyone, he was cool with all of them, but Killua seems like he only really messes with Gon.
Like he’s cool with the other two, but only because he’s cool with Gon.
I never got the vibe that he was friends with them like that.

I think that is the worst; explaining something with heavy action going on.

That creator is one creative mothafukka though.

Even though part 6 is my personal goat when Part 7 gets animated
I can see it now s*** is going to get HxH 2011/FMAB type of wank. Gonna be seeing it in a lot of top 5 listsWith YYH its more about mutual respect gained through solving conflicts together. Idk if that makes their group dynamic weaker than HxH, just expressed differently.
I remember this scene being a defining point in how close the group became. Didn't really need to be said how much they liked Yusuke. You even had Hiei giving Yusuke a pep talk a little before this to clear his head.
Then by the end of the manga you had Kuwabara, Kurama, Botan etc regularly meeting up to talk about the state of affairs, when Yusuke could be returning. There's no more conflict but they're all still cool.
I just saw thisY'all discussing HxH again going to have my nikka @Bryan Danielson flipping tables in this bytch.![]()

See, that was my point. Even though they're all their own distinct entities, throughout the entire series excluding the 3 Kings arc where Kuwabara is bushed, they're a team. Loose knit at times but they're functioning as a unit towards a shared main goal that none of them can handle solo. You know this was a well articulated opinion and I was ready to agree.
