Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

this may be unrelated kinda, but I just realized anime youtube is kinda dry. Maybe it was always this dry and I didn't notice, but 90% of the content is just people reacting to anime episodes/fights.....or trying to push you to watch One Piece.






Maybe they're just getting drowned out because reaction stuff is so easy to pump out, but I don't see nearly as many memes, hot takes, and video essays nowadays. Could just be my profile, not sure. I don't have anything against reaction content btw

Yeah reaction videos took over 100%. I remember back in the day 2010-2016 the anime community was entertaining and chaotic . nikkas were actually beefing. we'd get in depth analysis series by Uber Hikari, pixelated hangout sessions, beef between Youtubers (double4anime vs everyone) etc.






I enjoyed uberhikari videos..the man was the Togashi of YT lol on hiatus for 10 years

I’m halfway through season 2 and they literally been going all out non stop. There ain’t even been that much plot development just hundred man battles in heavily guarded spots

The remake finally did the manga justice cuz the 2001 version was a straight slapstick comedy.

I LOVE Witch of Mercury. Hell, I'm not even supposed to like a character like Suletta, but she's the perfect protagonist in a setting like this. A legit shoujo series with a Gundam background and a Code Geass art/feeling

How can I not love it?

edit: should I try watching Guilty Crown? Premise always seemed kinda ridiculous

Guilty Crown is a mediocre show with sprinkled in moments of brilliance. If you go in with proper expectations you will probably be able to enjoy it. If you’re expecting the show the hype and people involved making it built up it’s a disappointment.

Just finished rewatching S1 of AoT. I lowkey underrated how good this season is. I guess when don't watch something after a significant time you forget what you really think of it. shyt is great and considering this is its debut season it becomes more impressive. Lowkey S4 might be the worst of the 4 seasons tbh.

Remake is easily one of the best romance anime as of late and easily one of the best shows as well. Only thing comes close is Kaguya, but that is a completely different kind of romance anime. You prob know this already, but even if you don't mess with romance anime this is a must watch with how well the drama is done in this show.

I mean this is pretty standard. That is 3 months away which is when the next anime season standards. Compare this to AoT where they got us thinking part 2 will wrap everything up and they be like tune into Part 3 next year.

Everyone just giving notice to CSM and Blue Lock as the new shows of the season. Everyone knows Mob doesn’t miss.

Mob usually start slightly slow at the beginning of the season but after 25% - 50% through they drop nothing but fire.

These new shows gotta show that they can be consistent. CSM I could see. But not too sure about blue lock, but it will be entertainment at the very least.

Nah I still fukks with MHA. shyt been good as fukk lately, its just a waste of time posting about it because whenever you say you like MHA some random fukk nikka gotta reply to your post and explain to you why you shouldn't enjoy it and that the manga is trash now blah blah etc....

Mob been dope as fukk too. No complaints there.

MHA the anime has been in its best position since S3. Problem is with Bleach and CSM coming this season its not the big battle shounen of the season for either long time fans or newcomers. Plus you also got SxF, Blue Lock, Mob and Gundam to add to the mix and MHA to me is def lower then those 4 as well.

Just finished Cyberpunk. Animation was great but I wasn't really into the story/characters in the beginning, but midway and all the way to the end it got better and better. Last few episodes I thought was really good.

Caught up with Chainsaw Man. Hooked after the 1st episode. Mappa looks like they got another classic brewing.

Just realized they got Mob Psycho, Golden Kamuy, and MHA going on too. The past two seasons I thought anime's been meh. But it looks like it's gonna pick up.
