Essential What Anime are you currently watching?
Im on a few things currently....
Chainsaw man is not really adding anything new to the genre. Even the chemistry between the characters is kinda iffy. His sad life as orphan isnt enough to carry the story. Hell, i wouldve preferred more exposure of his life before the accident, than his current detective lifestyle.
I heard so much hype about it before it aired, but now i think this will go the same way as god of highschool. The only thing that could save it is if the main character can evolve his blades or some sht like that.
- First few episodes of spy/family were solid. Its toned down in last few episodes.
- Eminence in the shadow had so much potential with its unique concept and animation quality, but the story is kinda meh. Only the first episode was genuinely thrilling. I do like the new mechanic of using slimes as armor, instead of cannon fodder.
- Finally, Im actually afraid to start the second season of "until your eternity" cause first season was super sad and melodramatic as the writers killed off everybody right after establishing their loveable characters. They were killing off everybody from grandmas, to father figures, to best friends all for the sake of advancing the plot. My heart's not ready for any more of that brehs...
Same. It got me a little annoyed with the whole demon hunting concept in anime . The series gives me low budget jujutsu kaisen vibes, mixed with a little bit of that 3rd season of tokyoGhoul with the detectives . They even used the same possession mechanic for the MC.

Bochi the Rock is definitely my new Ya Boy Kongming. Just some charming light stuff to follow up the heaviness that Bleach and Chainsaw Man are gonna be packed with. The girl freestyling emo tracks every time she's embarrassed bodies me every time.
Also sidenote: I can't find that Maid Wars show streaming anywhere but I keep hearing it's the sleeper of the season (someone mentioned it to me in this thread which made me take note as others bring it up).

I mean it’s kind of obvious it’s going through production issues.
It's grossly overrated. Reading the manga, it was interesting at first, then went to straight gory dog shyt.
Can you name a Gundam series to not have recap episodes though? Seems like in the decades of making Gundam series they'd figure out how to make them so they can air uninterruptedly.

This! I think the juvenile ish gets blown up by memes and stuff, but that hides a lot of subtext that I wasn't even looking for until I got deeper into the story and realized how much more was going on with the story...also the anime cut out a moment that I thought added some weight to Denji early on
