Said fukk it and tested out a random Chinese anime @tripleaamin



I think it's because they have a different sense of humor(and way less horny) little cultural nuances that are different from Japanese stuff, can't fully explain it yet but I'm rolling

The way they break the 4th wall is hilarious, author of the whole shyt getting mopped up like that

The demon hearing the main character music playing and realizing he fukked up

The got the whole season in one video here, I'm only on episode one so i can't fully stamp it yet




Episode 5: This shyt is jokes the way them assassins got clapped had me weak, then this nikka Wang playing like he got knocked out at the end with the fake blood

This falls under the "OP main character dealing with nikkas in comedic fashion" umbrella for sure. Feel good kind of show with action/fights

I do love how with anime & manga how there is so much different stuff you can get into. Like there is so many different genres. Hell even with the big genres like Action, Slice of Life and Fantasy, there are many things within them.

With that being said, I can't lie Japanese humor at times can be too horny. Most of them aren't like Monogatari or CSM where there is a reason for it. I know breh say excuse that Japanese comedy is different and sure something like Witch Watch is one thing. Though some just throw random ecchi and fanservice at the most random times.

My only issue with Korean stuff is that it just dives into Power Fantasy, Villianess and Romance majority. I know something like ORV is the exception.

I an kind of hoping these Chinese stuff give the Japanese some competition. More stop putting on 40+ seasonals each season. shyt like TBATE being that bad visually shouldn't even be acceptable.

yea watching this Chinese stuff it feels like they actual have a sense of humor more similar to us in the states

most of those Japanese shows you can tell all the jokes come from extreme depression, brehs down bad with no women, job shytting on them constantly, that's why isekai's are so big over there, them people literally wish they could die and go somewhere else more enjoyable.

Also it's not lost of me how Super Cube has so many "do not try this at home" disclaimers that i never even thought about, i can get behind anime being more responsible with the shyt they showing people.

i think the Chinese takeover of anime is gonna be swift and will leave Japan in shambles, video games are gonna be their last hope forreal

and with the success of Ne Zha (another Chinese movie that's competing with the Pixars of the world, i highly recommend) they gonna crush the buildings in the box office animation stuff too


this show is solid to me simple plot, well executed jokes and they have a healthy dose of boxing throughout. it came out some years ago so i think more seasons exist, that youtube channel is basically their chinese anime streaming service so it makes sense why they can post an entire season of something

God this episode from start to finish was just . Honestly, this season feels like it's going to land even better than the end of S1 which already

Spoiler: The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 - Episode 20

As Maomao pointed out in this episode, the signs of Loulan and Shisui were there. It was basically shown in the past few episodes.Man Shenmei might be the first person in this series that I would call both terrible and ugly. The mention of Shisui getting beat made that her appearance, but god every moment showed up made me want to hate her. It's interesting that it was Shenmei's family that adopted the man who is Shishou. Makes me feel what he is doing in under her direction.

Though the sad part for Suirei is that when Shenmei came back, Shishou had Suirei as her child. Though despite how much Shenmei clearly hated both Suirei and her mother. That is not the case of Shisui. In fact, the name Shisui was Suirei's original name. Her willing to go out as that name showed how much Loulan cared for Suirei. I am willing to bet that it is through Suirei and being by her sister's side is how we see the personality Shisui. At this point, I would expect Shisui to want nothing to shed her Loulan self. After all, I can't imagine the pain seeing her half-sister getting beaten and can't do a thing about it yet. Though what is Loulan/Shisui's real endgame in all of this?

I did like how seeing the two personalities of Loulan/Shisui makes Maomao wonder about Jinshi. There is Jinshi the Moon Prince and Jinshi the Eunuch. Of course, we know by now the latter is something he hides behind. Though the latter could also be his true personality as Loulan's true personality gets shown as Shisui. So the plan seems to be revenge, and I am assuming that is what Shenmei wants. I can only guess it is the fact she returned from the rear palace as a gift? Though a rebellion and wanting a war shouldn't be something taken lightly.

I loved the whole ending scene between Jinshi and Lakan. Their interactions back in S1 were great. It really set up Lakan's character that lead up to the great arc at the end of S1. Here we still have Lakan's pride in full things, but him being frustrated at Jinshi hiding behind his eunuch role. Of course, part of it also is how Lakan was going about it. I love Luomen's involvement in the scene. I just love seeing how Lakan is with him because he acts so different. Furthermore, I am more interested in learning their history. Though he is probably in debited to him for raising Maomao. How he guides Lakan to carry out the request was well done. After all, this is something Lakan doesn't have the authority, but the Moon Prince does.

The nikkas in the afterlife tryna pretend it's a dream so Sun doesn't know she's dead until they can finesse the system and send her back I never seen a underworld boss just change the rules like that out of fear

After the reset back in time Wang INSTANTLY smacking that hoe EARLY so she can't try killing Sun again

This show was an objectively good take on the overpowered MC trope @LauderdaleBoss @MushroomX it's time for action gang to expand their operations to China

And it already has 4 seasons bouta load up season 2 while I'm traveling tomorrow

Between this, to be hero X, super cube, and link clink they've shown me they can give us heavy plot stories and tough boxing if they want to

I love my brother to death but fukk that nikka. He’s a fire fighter in real life and didn’t even go to Dreamcon as a Fire Force character. He had one chance and blew it.

Apothecary Diaries might be one of the most rewarding shows. They really reward the audience with how it connects plot points together. I had a feeling about the Shisui/Loulan reveal because I noticed there had to be a reason why Loulan wasn't featured much and she looked similar. Then the reveal that Loulan escaped def made me connect for sure that she was Shisui

This episode had many dark moments once you realize certain stuff that was happening. With things set in motion this is shaping up to be a great finale

Also, the way it builds up things. Jinshi & Lakan conversation at the end of the episode was one big example of it. Takes a lot of what we got in the finale S1 and elevates. Furthermore, the stuff with Loulan. The storytelling is very dynamic. Everything in the series holds a purpose is when you are introduced. Curious if S3 gets announced after S2 ends or not. The momentum the anime has been on is quite insane. Well, worst case I would read the novels since the anime will be catching up with the manga adaptation.

Looks to be easily the front-runner of AOTY so far. Honestly, the consistency for 50 episodes is quite insane.
