they just didn't grab my attention, and Nana I've always seen hyped up. Maybe it's the design of the characters or the animation but I was bleh in it.
How's the studio that's animating Witch Hat Atelier? I feel like that could scoop up some of the fans looking to fill the Frieren Void thanks to the dope world-building and magic system.Also worth pointing out this isn’t the same madhouse from back then. Much like with medalist animators came to work under the team because how much they admire the manga. Although Frieren didn’t need the high level animation but it really made great use of it by elevating the manga. Though with Frieren and also Orb you are seeing a resurgence from madhouse. Which is cool too see
I do think a great anime staff can get the most out of an average source material. Demon Slayer is one example of this. Though sword smith arc is when I noticed some rough points. When the source material is towards the bad side there is only so much they can do. Mha after S3 is an example of that.
Same studio as Zom 100. So there is some concerned there.

Although the director for Witch Hat Atelier has a great track record. Tbh Frieren S2 might come out before the anime for Witch Hat Atelier
