I mean nothing is certain. JJK manga ended a long time ago, so there is no rush to get back to it. There is no real benefit to pumping manga sales sooner rather later.

It makes more sense for them to announce a CSM S2 after the movie ends in Japan. It would actually align with Yoshihara's schedule as early next year he should have Wistoria S2, CSM S2 could viably be Fall 2026 when you add the fact that the CSM movie has been in production since JJK S2 was airing & then most likely Black Clover anime comes back sometime in 2027. When you add how long the CSM movie has been in production along with the momentum the movie would provide it would be a giant miss for Mappa.

Imo JJK fans better hope that S3 comes after CSM S2. Otherwise, the production schedule will probably go through the same problems they had in the Shibuya arc where they had animators going from JJK S2 to working on the Reze movie. When you consider Mappa is more invested financially in CSM than JJK.
I'm just going by what we know, production for Culling Games already started (voice acting has been doing recordings) so unless the bulk of that side of Mappa is working in CSM season 2 without us knowing, all seems to point that the team will focus on JJK to air next year :hubie:

They are gonna do the next arc in the series as a film, it premieres in September.

Then the studio will probably focus on JJK's season 3 and THEN on Chainsawman Season 2. It's probably gonna be 2027-8 before you get to see it
The movie is the next arc anyway so it's not like he's waiting extra long for content unless his eyes just need to see the words season 2 to feel like progress is being made

All CSM arcs are short they low-key could do movies for the entire first half

I never thought of it like that, but they could. Gun Devil Arc would be a bit on the shorter side tho.

They probably really rack up the money for Mappa considering the consensus on Part 2 :russ:. People will really latch onto Part 1 more then ever imo.

But man imagine waiting between Gun Devil & Control Devil Arcs. :sadcam:

World Building continues to be great.

This episode did an outstanding job in asking of what does it mean to be a hero. In many ways you can understand why Alicia feels like she is no longer a hero. Not only is she a walking corpse now, but the people in Hiden are dead because of that failure. At the same time, Klen does make a good point: does holding a sword make you a hero? It is more so the point that what you do is what makes you a hero. Nell absolutely looks at Alicia and believes she is a hero.

Meanwhile, for Klen Alicia makes a point that if Hiden is gone there isn't much benefit for Luna to be king. Making it clear that Boelate is a pure antagonistic force in this series. Adding to the point, their General Drel is the main antagonist at this point in the story. Though it makes you wonder why did he seek out to kill Alicia's father & who was his friend? Just feel bad for Alicia being conflicted about what she wants. Though you can tell her father was a kind man as his quote on war is the furthest path from being a hero.

As expected, their hiding didn't last for long. We see Boelate's head wizard in Meynard Swan launching an attack, and with him is a high wizard with the name Naie Chiffonlitis. Kind of a fukked situation now, but this does give Alicia the opportunity to act as a hero. Although it is a pretty grim situation.

the play is pretty obvious for right now

Reze "arc" gonna crush the theaters

then season 2 is gonna be a fully fleshed out International Assassin's arc :wow: my personal favorite arc of the series, Quanxi and her 4 hoes, Santa Claus, Yoshida, all the best characters are gonna show up :banderas: it's the "Shibuya" of CSM

Gun/Control arcs will probably be split, a movie with Gun arc and half of Control arc and then a season 3 to finish Control, setup part 2.

Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse with that whole plot twist was not what I was expected at all. This show has me more intrigued now :ehh:
