This episode of Dandadan really shows how well they use music.

  • The awkwardness of Okarun appearing while Momo is working.
  • How slow time moves as Momo waits for the workday to end.
  • How the fight goes, starts & ends
  • Ending of the episode with the piano.
Loved how they adapted everything at the start of the episode. Showing the awkwardness Okarun feels. Then how long was time moving while Momo was waiting for work to be over. To the point: Okarun & her walk home together. It was all so sweet.

On one hand I am thrilled to see the progress Jiji was making, but accidents do happen. It had to be soul-crushing to see what happened when Evil Eye took over. Manjiro's words to Seiko were significant because this isn't some weak threat they are dealing with. Evil Eye is beyond dangerous. Sure, you want to indulge, Jiji, but what if Momo were to die?

Turbo Granny does bring up an interesting point in that basically Okarun is too slow. If he wants to match up to Evil Eye, he needs to improve on that. Remember it took a group effort to capture Evil Eye. If it came to a 1-on-1 fight, he is way behind and would probably get overwhelmed. So if Okarun wants to truly be stronger, he is really going to need to put the work in.

Man, poor Jiji :mjcry:

Turbo Granny becoming a sensei just off the strength of Okarun being too weak for her powers it's an anime troupe done well. And of course she leads them to a damn evil spirit, sink or swim teaching

Feel bad for the guildmaster, ha ha. Now they've got an investigation going in the dungeon after the big battle that happened last week. He is actually trying to do his best, but just more stuff keeps piling on him. Though the story that an A-rank party with an S-rank adventurer didn't make it back after a Great Tidal Bore is definitely disturbing. Which leads to Abel and the others disappearing. I guess Ryou will make an appearance next week, I would assume.

On another note, at least Lyn finally talked to Ryou. Though he left her speechless. xD. Phelps definitely caught my eye. He is a noble, but he doesn't act like your typical noble. I mean, those knights deserved their death after they tried to go after Phelps after he put them in their place. Was expecting Ryou to be the one to defend her, and honestly that doesn't exactly align with his character like it would if it were Abel.

Natalie Schwartzkoff comes from a family of water magicians. It feels clear that she should be in line with her role as he is, as the series is titled "The Water Magician." . It would also help with the knowledge gap for Ryou since I am not sure his personality is a good match to Lyn considering he hasn't interacted with Sera too much yet.

Call of the Night S2 Episode 7 actually did a pretty good job cutting the fact at the start of the school arc and still kept it cohesive. :ehh:

This episode adapted chapters 69-77. Despite the large chapter count, they did a good job since it seems they want to skip the fat.

  • In chapter 70 they cut Niko's monologue about Nazuna's past and why it makes sense she was born a vampire.
  • With how they are adapting chapters 71-74, it seems clear they are skipping the part where where Kou is supposed to date Lira to get close to her to read the diary in the clubroom. The anime just has it where it is just out in the open in the room.Honestly, if they have to cut content, this is the most logical area to do it.
  • From chapter 75 and where it ends at 77, it seems to be where it will be going, and the pacing will get back to the regular pace that it was in the previous episodes.
  • On a note about the adaptation, I love the music choice the moment you can feel that Mejiro starts to really consider Nazuna a friend as she was bonding with her.

Adaptation-wise, these last 2 episodes of Silent Witch have been a lot better. Best so far since the first two episodes. Thoughts on the episode itself.

Man, I felt so bad for Monica when she started breaking down crying. Of course she is a victim in this, but to her, she messed up. I can empathize with the feeling that you can continue to try your best, but you continue to mess up. Interestingly enough, Felix has been in the position Monica was in earlier in his life.

Claudia is a very interesting character. She clearly cares, but in her own way. She was watching Monica and came to her rescue. Though you can see how she mocks both her brother & Monica. Monica for having the body of a child, which Louis's wife mentioned before if she was eating. She has a big point: poison with her body could be deadly. Of course she spoke the truth that her brother is the prince's dog. I mean, even Felix got a good laugh out of it.

Happy to see Isabelle put Caroline and those awful girls in their place. Though I did like the focus at the end because she is also putting her all into this mission. Of course we don't see much of her because she & Monica don't interact much. The Silent Witch saved her familiy's land, so you can understand that she really is putting all her effort into acting her role. Of course she is having a blast with it.

LoM been actually cooking these last few episodes :whew: no crazy leaps of logic or skipping around.

It's funny the make every character give off secretive evil vibes even when they ain't that, Cesimir just tapped in to make all them swear on Ms. Gladys not to say anything about the acting method:birdman:
