Puzzled on the Mikadono sisters takes. It’s about on par with We Never Learn, Quintessential Quintuplets, Amagami Sisters, and Cafe Goddesses. I guess the main difference is the male lead in Mikadono is a talentless hack who’s the child of a genius while all the other male leads are at least somewhat exceptional.

This episode adapted the ending portion of chapter 23. The beginning and end of chapter 24, all of chapter 25, and the beginning of chapter 26.

  • Interesting rearranging of the events at the end of chapter 23 and beginning of 24. I kind of like it because it adds on the guilt of Hikaru leaving compared to the manga, imo.
  • I assume the next episode will adapt the conversation between Asako & Hikaru, which is the only part of volume 5 left to be adapted besides what happens in the rest of chapter 26.
  • An anime original addition is we see Hikaru going home, and it makes sense as it creates a stopping point in the episode.
  • I have only read up to the volume, so I'm unsure what happens after the volume ends, but I can't imagine they don't adapt the beginning of the next volume. Plus, it would feel like they would stretch things out if they don't go past volume 5, and I don't think anime-original scenes would make too much sense here.
  • Love how they adapted teh horror chase when Hikaru was going after Yoshiki.

One thing over the course of the season that has been interesting is to see how Hikaru has evolved. He has become more and more human in many ways. Rie's hesitation is key because she looks at him, and to her he just seems human.

It's interesting to learn from Yoshiki's dad of the Indou family curse. Though you can tell the Tsujinaka couple's relationship is a big mess.

Might just be me but DanDaDan ending their season on some "oh no he kissed someone else" is lame as hell and a big reminder of why I'm trying to stay away from romance plots and grade school settings :skip: they are dragging tf out of that relationship and the search for his balls :dame: 2 seasons is enough

Honestly wished they adapted one more chapter and ended on the scene that I posted below. I mean, I get why they ended where they did, but ending it here would have gotten people more excited.

Idk who else read the novels but I am so fukking hype for this season! :wow: already seen my favorites making their debuts in the trailer

My other Queen :banderas: real black air force energy

My triple OG and the house of YN's :wow:the real boss when I'm not at work, pushing P since season 1, I completely missed they showed Ghislaine using her eye at the beginning of this scene

They are going further into the story that I expected :whoo: how many episodes they got?

I can't believe we finally got to the beginning of the story  @tripleaamin you bouta see why so many people forgot the ED arc even happened, the studio was literally created to focus on Jobless Reincarnation over any other show for a reason

If they execute the conversation of legend properly :mjcry: first episode might go up in the rafters as the beginning of a world-class run in adventure/isekai storytelling!

Brehs....

To Be a Hero X has to be one of the most well-paced and intricate animes I've ever seen. The flashbacks and callbacks are placed so well. Is there an anime that does it any better?

The mix of animations too, just done so well. It's early but I could easily see this as a top anime of all time for some folks. It's that damn good

It was created to adapt Mushoku Tensei. After S1, Shingo Fujii left the Mushoku Tensei staff to direct Oniichan wa Oshimai! for Studio Bind, and then now is directing on Ruri Rocks for Studio Bind too. Like Mushoku Tensei S1, both of these had almost 3 years in production, which is why they look so beautiful in both visuals and animation. But Studio Bind's focus hasn't been only on Mushoku Tensei since S1 ended.

I'd expect S3 to be at the S2 level in terms of visuals. Since production for MT S3 only started this summer and is rumored to air in spring. I am not sure why they are rushing production for MT, but it is safe to assume it will be another split cour.

I've been reading the manga and it is good so far and batshyt crazy. But, man, a low budget deen adaptation is going to be awful for it :mjlol: :mjcry:

@LordDeathwatch This manga might be right up your alley. Good mix of action with great art and some real good fukkery alongside it. Just don't watch the anime cause I know its gonna look like shyt :mjcry:

Not sure why they using domestic for NA number for an anime film but damn they killing it worldwide :wow:

Oh yes indeed, I'll add it to The List with Kaiju 8 completed and Kingdom dragging.

Much appreciated, as always.

Yeah, the show is not for you breh. The Momo/Okarun relationship is the main drive of the series, then you have the constant fukkery and THEN you have the plot. Both the fukkery and plot have very inventive action -and season 3 will have the absolute best the series has to offer in terms of actions, specially the 2nd half or "season 4"- but at the end of the day, they will always go back to the main couple and weird shyt happening to them.

It's certainly the most refreshing premiere season for a battle anime in a long ass time -and if you take out Frieren, the best opening season for any anime in a while-, if they stick the landing with the tournament it's gonna be an all timer. They took their sweet ass time building everything up and it worked wonderfully, now it's time to see them cook the meal they prepared us for.

Some shows from this weekend that finished.

  • The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses - This one was better than I expected. It takes the classic harem setup you see in fantasy/isekai, though the story is more about the girls and their motivations rather than being wish-fulfillment love interests. In fact, the dynamic between the girls really is good, as they almost feel like sisters. Toto after episode 1 isn't too bad; he does improve. 7/10
  • Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter - This show was trash, and it pisses me off since the start was interesting with the magic world building. Pushes that away for a harem where half of them are lolis. The show says Lydia is the main love interest, but it doesn't do anything to show it. 4/10.
  • With You and the Rain - This is a must-watch for slice-of-life, pets, and Iyashikei fans; it is a must-watch. It has amazing art, comedic and sound direction. The cast of characters is excellent. Not much of a story to it, but that's really not the appeal of it. 9/10
  • Puniru is a Kawaii Slime Season 2 - In all honesty, I only watched S1 because Toho Animation studio was on it, which is the studio that animated Apothecary Diaries S1 with OLM. (Note they didn't work on S2 that much.) It's a fun, silly comedy. Though I was surprised with the writing, it has a good message to it. Not something people here would really like, but it makes for a fun watch, and the animation is pretty good. 8/10

I heard that S6 of Kingdom arc needs 2-3 cours to fully adapt and since I still haven't started S5 yet gonna let it build up first. At least wait till an episode count of S6 comes out.
