Hanako-kun S2 finale ending was a lot better than I expected since I expected a much bigger cliffhanger. It adapted all of volume 18 and the start of chapter 92. Although they cut Hakubo's backstory, I assume they will adapt that when S3 starts, as it is a vital piece to draw parallels to Akane & Aoi's relationship.
I love the conversation between Nene & Hanako. Of course, once again, Hanako is plotting shyt behind her back. Of course Hanako has feelings for Nene it is pretty obvious, and they even had a kiss. I love the comedy bits between Hanako & Nene it is always fun to see their dynamic of poking each other. Though the warning Hanako gives Nene is excellent, since the idea of being an apparition and being with Hanako sounds nice and ideal. But it is not realistic at all because there is a chance that Nene becomes something that is just foreign to herself.
I feel bad for Kou for being in his brother's shadow. He has always wanted to prove himself but never really could. Granted, Akane is right that their fighting was pointless, but thank God Teru covered for Kou. #6's point that Kou doesn't have a plan is true, and it is still an issue where he wants to help Mitsuba & Nene, but doesn't know how to. Though at the same time, that is part of his charm. Thank God Natsuhiko was around for the save for Kou.
Now the question is what Tsukasa's group is plotting. Tsukasa seems to be aiming Hanako to take down the Yorishiros and doing so will grant Hanako the wish to save Nene. But what is their group's interest in doing so, I wonder?
