You a tech? Also why without going into too much detail.

I worked for Walgreens for a year when I was in high school :ld:

Wasn’t that bad, old ladies would throw me a 5 or 10 for helping them out to they car. Plus it was some fine ass pharmacy techs :whew:

$11.50 to throw items up on a shelf? Not that bad if you ask me :manny:

Naw I'm a Stocker/floor person. I started when I was in Aug 2013 when i was 19/20(My birthday in September) but its not a bad job my problem was when I started off I had no motivation or Ambition so i never tried to move up(Shift lead,Tech). Plus me slacking off and having issues with management didn't help me at all. My only problems with the job is the disrespectful customers and the low pay and its gets boring after awhile. When I started the pay was 8 25 . after my first year I got a 17 cent raise then the next year I failed my yearly review so I didn't get a pay raise. The next year after that the minimum wage went up to 10 then last year it went to up to 11 and next week it goes up to 12 and next year it goes up to 13. This Aug makes 5 years for me and I can honestly say if your in high school or between the ages of 18 to 23 then this would be a decent job for you. Depending on where your store is located you more than likely will end up smashing some of your coworkers/customers to. I'm getting to old now(About to turn 25) so im going for a trade this year and hopefully I'll have something better next year

EDIT: phony coworkers .But that a whole nother thread

:ohhh::leon:

This needs its own thread
I have stories for days.

But that'll be a breach of contract to share (that particular site didn't give me a contract, that's how I know something was up) and if I go into any detail, nikkas will probably know which site it was

Working in a call center. It really messed with my health. Ended up getting hypertension because of it. Having to deal with entitled customers cursing you out because their cable wasn't working so they're missing the game or their internet isn't working so they can't get online to play call of duty. Plus even after dealing with a pissed off customer you still had to try to upgrade their current package or sell them on something. :francis: People underestimate mental stress on those type of jobs.

Was going to say working in a warehouse but I never did those jobs long enough and it was usually something I did in between jobs.

I did that shyt for Spectrum and barely lasted a month out of traning for almost all the exact reasons you mentioned. Also add in hilariously shytty training, and having supervisors that copped an attitude when you had to send a call to them/needed help. Oh, and getting on your dikk about AHT. Nevermind the fakkitry of the customers. I literally had some Indian dude disconnect his shyt over five dollars. :deadmanny:

The Souf
Call center

We’d call around neighborhoods and ask if they wanted to donate stuff since a truck was coming to their neighborhood. If people were actually picking up they were picking up to curse me out. When I would report some of the fukked up threats I’d get to my “manager” all he would say is “well we just won’t call him anymore” like that was a punishment.

Then all the overtime and payroll was calculated by hand and my managers math was shytty. If I worked an extra 2 hours and 30 minutes he would calculate that as 2.30 instead of 2.50. Plus we were in arrears like three fukking weeks. I hated that damn place. I promptly quit

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Agree. Security is boring as hell and you there is no opportunity to move up. Its one of the easiest jobs to get when you're trying to figure out your next move.

The only good thing about security is that I didn’t have to start minimum wage jobs like most people who were right out of high school.

And because I knew the right person I end up moving up and did security for high end stores in Manhattan like Cartier, Burberry, Hermès, Versace etc. paid pretty well and eventually I even did some luxury lounges.

But like you said it’s really boring. You really can’t aplly security skills to nowhere except for Public Safety (which I did do also).

Also you get tired standing on your feet all day and they are also dead serious about you never being on your phone etc.

Break time was always shytty and short smh!
