Tech is my career from this point on![]()
I look at people different when they say they have worked collections. I was jobless for over a year at one point and refused to take a collections job even though it paid double what everything else way paying 8 years ago. I would rather go back to retail than bother people, some ill, about payments for shyt they can't afford. Not to mention the cut for the agency usually making the shyt 30%+ more expensive than it should be. You gotta be a scumbag to work that shyt if you have other options. Imagine being in insurance and denying terminally ill folks care cause of finances. Again, you have to be a piece of shyt to be able to do that work and not have it negatively affect you.Working in collections (call center)
Calling people that were terminally ill and being forced to ask them to make payments was too much![]()
My cousin worked there in high school and he used to hook us up with free food. He hated the job but he ate good I guess.Working at Ryan’s steakhouse/buffet, man they treated us like shyt, shytty customers sometimes, but i used to steal food so it made up for it

Mostly. I was a coordinator for like a week before I quit. Basically I had to round up a bunch of people to volunteer to do the same thing I was getting paid forYou get paid for thatI thought that was just volunteer shyt.
Most of my managers had been at Walgreens 15+ Years, idk how that shyt boring was hellNaw I'm a Stocker/floor person. I started when I was in Aug 2013 when i was 19/20(My birthday in September) but its not a bad job my problem was when I started off I had no motivation or Ambition so i never tried to move up(Shift lead,Tech). Plus me slacking off and having issues with management didn't help me at all. My only problems with the job is the disrespectful customers and the low pay and its gets boring after awhile. When I started the pay was 8 25 . after my first year I got a 17 cent raise then the next year I failed my yearly review so I didn't get a pay raise. The next year after that the minimum wage went up to 10 then last year it went to up to 11 and next week it goes up to 12 and next year it goes up to 13. This Aug makes 5 years for me and I can honestly say if your in high school or between the ages of 18 to 23 then this would be a decent job for you. Depending on where your store is located you more than likely will end up smashing some of your coworkers/customers to. I'm getting to old now(About to turn 25) so im going for a trade this year and hopefully I'll have something better next year
EDIT: phony coworkers .But that a whole nother thread
I was in call center field as well for one of the big cable companies. my last day on the job I received 10 back to back screaming calls and I went straight to my manager and told him I'm done, sort of a lightbulb moment and I went back to school full time. No way you paying me 13 dollars a hour to be a punching bag. I will never go back to a call center job, I put my time in. I'm doneWorking in a call center. It really messed with my health. Ended up getting hypertension because of it. Having to deal with entitled customers cursing you out because their cable wasn't working so they're missing the game or their internet isn't working so they can't get online to play call of duty. Plus even after dealing with a pissed off customer you still had to try to upgrade their current package or sell them on something.People underestimate mental stress on those type of jobs.
Was going to say working in a warehouse but I never did those jobs long enough and it was usually something I did in between jobs.
Feel your pain, I left before charter merged with time Warner. The job was easy but the people, fukk that shyt.I did that shyt for Spectrum and barely lasted a month out of traning for almost all the exact reasons you mentioned. Also add in hilariously shytty training, and having supervisors that copped an attitude when you had to send a call to them/needed help. Oh, and getting on your dikk about AHT. Nevermind the fakkitry of the customers. I literally had some Indian dude disconnect his shyt over five dollars.![]()
My godfather do security for the VA hospital, dude make $29 an hour to walk the perimeter and check in vendors/deliveryAgree. Security is boring as hell and you there is no opportunity to move up. Its one of the easiest jobs to get when you're trying to figure out your next move.

He been there like 25 years, he said the supervisors don’t say shyt to him if he watching Netflix on his phone or take a smoke breakGovt jobsnice benefits and vacation time. Is your grandfather prior military?
I be thinking the same thing. But people always says the company was different back in the daysMost of my managers had been at Walgreens 15+ Years, idk how that shyt boring was hell![]()
