Seeing the response to his interview with Charlie Kirk, I think he ruined any chance of winning.
Whose response though? Progressive dems? Hardly matters. Newsome is playing the long game here. He's trying to win young white men/boys back. Just due to sheer population, that is a very important demographic to have.

His point about the % that wealthy people spend in terms of velocity of money versus the poor was well stated. I don't agree with him saying Bernie is the only candidate who is talking about that because Bernie never speaks about those topics with any kind of depth or clarity. His point about the shrinking consumer base was odd too.
This explains what he meant by that

Fox News still shytted on him and news outlets have been framing it in a negative way

I hate to say this, but unless the dems wanna lose, it HAS to be a charismatic white man in 2028. America is clearly too racist and sexist especially right now.

This. Find a white dude somewhere that fits the stock photo of a well-dressed cac and hope for the best :skip:

Preferably, the cac needs to be 40 to 45 years old.

That's par for course.

A lot of these white males that used to vote democrat, that voted for Trump are looking for "strong men" type candidates. There's been a big cultural shift in America these past 15 years and you either adapt or die.

Don't mean to call him out, but for as much as people here complain about @the cac mamba he's a pretty good representation of how white Americans are feeling.

i voted kamala, i wanted democrats to win, but part of that has to include calling out the bullshyt from the left. we went from "i vote democrat :obama:" to "i vote democrat :dame:"

hell, it's not even white voters anymore. trump winning hispanic men outright is a problem

A lot of what they consider strong men steeped in white nationalism and white Christian nationalism.
I believe the key is to get some of the 40 some odd percent of people that didn't vote instead of going after the thirty something percent that voted for Trump. To do that I think they need a candidate that can light the fire in people and have a strong economic focus campaign

I find it hilarious Bernie still has Stan’s who believes him and his ideas are super popular. It’s ten years later and two Trump presidencies. Guess it’s like fans whose team loses in the semis and they forever claim they would have won the finals if they had made it.

I voted for Bernie twice because I vote on policy but he never had a chance in the general election. He lost the primary twice. It’s time to look to the future.
