I'm still waiting for you to show me where I contradicted myself.

@theworldismine13 like I said, can't really help you if your reading skills are non-existant.
Day to day live involves finding a job and being ruled by authorities. If there is racism there then day to day life isn't "all good" and is really racist as fukk.

How you are not able to see that is the real issue here.

And whats your point? fukk france :pacspit:

these capitalist racist imperialistic colonizers have been the devil in daylight to Africa and her children. Look at French Colonial history and tell me about french racism:ld:

Modern day shows us, these western Imperialist countries have not changed one bit

Its crazy how people will defend white supremacist countries against racism :mindblown:

fukk is wrong with you type of people :dahell:

I'm not I just said that when you said you saw no interracial couples I said I saw the contrary. Not trying to debase your experiences or berate you. I find nothing you said offensive and I didn't disagree with it at all.

Hey breh

I been to france 3 times, living in england and all

very very very very racist,

my ex was french too, so she told me how it goes down

to keep it short, the far right wing racist party (le pen) was actually voted into power a few yrs ago. but they had a re election and covered it up saying most ppl didnt vote

:duck:

Thread is all over the place lol anyway I've lived 5 years in a small village in the center of France, in Amiens, in Lille, now I've been in Paris for about a year and a half...what can I say...have I felt singled out a couple times because I'm mixed, yes, my friends who are 100 % black tell me the glass ceiling is real, I'll say that in Paris the ceiling has more to do with your status tho...but I think I've said it before, North Africans are the ones who have it the worse imo...I dunno, i'd say racism exists indeed when one is looking for a job or an apartment, but it's not like you feel it on a daily basis...I think Paris is VERY "classist" so if you don't dress right that's when you might have issues, like to get into a club or whatever...what's the premise of this thread anyway, does OP want to come over for holidays or something? It'd be stupid to not come for that. But know that some french people (and parisians in particular) can be quite arrogant/don't give a fukk about tourists lol...and that attitude has NOTHING to do with racism, they act that way with everyone...

How is that a contradiction? You should take some time to read the contents of posts before acting smart, friend.

Perhaps I should simplify it for you.

Common French person = no problem.

Authorities/Police force = bad news

Employers = will employ a white person over a non-white

So where's the contradiction? Another smart dumb HL intellectual.
What does any of this have to do with someone who is just traveling???

That's what I'm saying. A black tourist will be fine, the people are respectful and can be pleasant. Chances are you won't be bothered. Even a local black youth won't have any problem with the white French.

A local black youth might face discrimination when looking for a job. For example if an employer has 2 identical CVs, one with a french sounding name and the other with an African/Arab name, most likely they will pick the French guy for the job. This could be applied for most countries around the world though.

Like @Tommy Knocks said, some posters just love racism.

Never left their state line but know all the secrets of the word.

seriously. I just dont get it. trying to get nikkas to travel is like trying to get nikkas to swim.

I was at a barber the other day, and I was like "damn this gonna be my last fresh line up before I head back to china"
dude was like "oh shyt you live there?" Im like yea, first thing he asks me "What that racism like over there tho" :wtf:

So the first thing to come to mind when I mention visiting an exotic land is how is the racism? :what: I can't think of any other group of people to ask me that. Terrible state of mind people are in. I keep telling folks..there is nothin you will experience that will be worse than where you are today. (U.S)
Why do you think so many ex-military both in the past and present day end up staying in the countries their stationed in? or go back home and talk about how much they miss the country they were in? There is nothing worse than the U.S. no other place has the same history. Most countries have no history with blacks. Is their xenophobia? sure, its human nature, but actual racism (hatred)? course not, why would there be? they dont have 400 years of civil disorder like we had.

Paris saw the beginnings of an African-American community in the aftermath of World War I when about 200,000 were brought over to fight. Ninety per cent of these soldiers were from the American South.[1] Many black GIs decided to stay in France after having been well received by the French, and others followed them. France was viewed by many African Americans as a welcome change from the widespread racism in the United States. It was during this time that jazz was introduced to the French and black culture was born in Paris. African American musicians, artists, andHarlem Renaissance writers found 1920s Paris ready to embrace them with open arms.

Look I know about Napoleon. Cameroon and all that but France was also a bit of a rest haven for blacks during the early part of the 20th century.
If you think that sums up French aggression against Africans go pick up a book

Also the rest haven part is a lie, the french army in both world wars was segregated. In comparison to the German and Russian armies which were not

Many well traveled black intellects of the time Padmore, Robeson etc spoke of france in the early 20th century with great disgust in regards to racial discrimination.
