Whut so you're finally coming ? Is it definitive or you're gonna change your mind in a few months
Anyway,
Can't answer to that. There are some nice restaurants there are some averages ones and some shytty ones. Like everything just go on critics site to know about the restaurant's rep but usually I'm pretty satisfied when I'm eating out.
Fast foods are good IMO. I know Mickey D has a bed rep in the US but here, it's proper. You have Quick which the belgian McDo (fries are better, burgers smaller but I feel like they taste better. Burger King has finally come back to France since last year but there are only a couples ones in France and two in Paris.
How much is a teacher's salary (English teacher)?
A starter begins nicely but progress slowly. I think somebody fresh out of teaching school is paid like 1500 € ($2K a month) and teachers have also plenty of bonuses (cheaper apartments and a lifetime job among others) but they don't choose where they'll go teaching, it's the state that tell them where they'll go. Usually, a young teacher will teach in a tough area.
What's the minimum amount of French I need to know to be able to live there for 8 months?
At least be able to ask for things when you go shopping or to the boulangerie for your bread. If you can understand most of what you hear but you can't really talk French fluently you'll be good. Just know the basics.
Will I be able to secure Arab tings?
Lulz. There are plenty of Arab (but I know you mean muslim) brehettes, don't worry.
Illegal unless you have an hunting permit. But you can find them in the black market if you're bout that life.
Do all the cars really look like Scions?
They look like european cars.
Will I need a car if I'm gonna be there for 8 months?
If you stay in Paris or in the closer outskirts, nope. Because transportation is efficient.
Any slang I need to know?
If you want to understand your pupils yeah. The ones you need to know I can't tell because it differs depending where you are in the Parisian area.
