Another thing thats overrated is Pac and Biggie being "prophets". Especially Pac. he spent a lot of time thinking about death, and inviting that energy into his life.

Play with fire and you get burned
Nah, you ain't finna have my reps fukked up outchea, breh:whoa:

Nope. He was overhyped by East Coast fans because they desperately wanted someone to counter the West Coast wave, but he was not viewed that way on a national basis.

He was a very popular ny artist that outsold everybody..his sales were spread out nationally. You cant pull what he pulled with home court backing only

There is no record of anyone, any hip hop media house, any hip hop journalist or any hip hop publication ever referring to 2Pac as a 'great rapper' or among the greats at any point before he died. Yet we supposed to believe revisionist children born in 1995 that pac was great. Most overrated rapper ever, especially after death.

So the 2 million people who bought 'Me Against The World' didn't think he was great

The album debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart and stayed there for 4 weeks straight, it sold 240,000 copies in the first week, and became certified double platinum by the end of the year. Likewise, it also debuted at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, thus giving 2Pac the first number one album on both R&B and Pop charts. While Shakur was in prison, the album over-took Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits as the best-selling album in the United States, a feat which he took pride in. Shakur became the first artist to have a number one album while serving a prison sentence

Re-read that last sentence, people loved 'Pac in '95, he wasn't even around to promote the album, he was locked up

1996 Soul Train Music Awards
Best Rap Album
WINNER - 2PacMe Against The World

I could easily carry on

All of them, even Pac and Big.
Pac and Big might be #1/#2 but they are not untouchable gods. They wouldnt choke if they heard today’s rappers, dudes had some of the wackest in their own teams. So even they are overrated. And if even they are, then everyone is to some degree.

Pac has stated on many occasions that he wasnt the best rapper but he was the REALEST. Plus his lyricism is underrated.

yeah because his message would not across the same way if he was super lyrical so he said he had to dumb it down

but naturally he was the best mc he had complex rhyme schemes etc nothing forced natural god given skills
