What do you think existed before the universe?

I can agree that there is a God, IMO there has to be. But I still find most of organized religion ridiculous
why does there HAVE to be a "god?"
Not having answers doesn't mean you can make them up when you reach a wall.
You know why I think a scientific explanation to the formation of the universe is implausible? Because when did it all start? Based on the concept of time, how could nothingness have ALWAYS existed before and beyond the universe? There's gotta be something supernatural about this.
Some force, God, a higher being, or whatever.
Whatever created time and space (the universe), has to have existed outside of this paradigm. Meaning it had neither a beginning nor a space

If I said: We don't know, would that make you feel better? Or would you find a way to include "god" in there just to make yourself feel better?
Life is too complex for there not to be above us, Napoleon. Sentiments, feelings, they don't make sense, they can't be explained by Science. I just can't fathom how certain things that are so illogical can exist without a higher being constructing them

Theists and non-theists alike have speculated on this question. Speculation is the only thing that can be done with this question, and it may be the only thing that can be done.

The "big bang" only talks about SINCE then.
Not before then.
We may never know what was "before"...but we know quite a bit about things SINCE then.

Just because it's nothing doesn't mean it's not something..nothing is always something you just can't see it..not like western science where they tell you nothing is nothing..

How could there be no time or color? It's unfathomable. Seems science is just as "faith-based" as belief in God.

I always felt like if a supreme force or forces exist, it has to be intertwined with existence itself and not outside the bounds of existence. Seems illogical otherwise.
Not gonna lie, I was never all that interested in Science, so maybe you're right, but then again maybe you're wrong
Then science is incomplete and doesn't have all the answers. So how can scientists devalue people's faiths?
