LOL brain fart there...but yeah Richmond hood areas are definitely not a place u wanna be stranded at. I drove thru Hull St 2 weeks ago when I went thru Richmond and that area near Jefferson Davis Hwy looks like it has never been fixed up.

Honestly didn't see many new builds in Richmond's downtown. I am missing the new construction? Where is it? Skyline isn't bad, just old and aging. But with the river there, and existing infrastructure, I really feel like Richmond has the "bones" to pop.

You can always tell if a city is starting to pop and/or continuously poppin by the amount of building construction (commercial and residential)...

Downtown Richmond and shokoe is where it's mostly being done. VCU expanding. A lot of old warehouses and buildings are being remodeled into businesses, condos and apts. They're building a port on the river for a cruise ship where the Annabelle Lee was. I've been in Richmond for years shyt is definitely moving

went to a family reunion down there a few months back (va beach) and I was bored out of my mind, nothing but shopping centers, and strip malls through the whole city outside of the beach :beli: City is very spread out.

the traffic is just as worse as D.C. traffic, especially 64 :beli:

drove an hour to Busch gardens which was also overrated :beli:

drove through Newport News which I thought was 100% hood and they had some pretty nice areas.

Va Beach has tons of shopping centers and strip malls...ur right about that. Newport News like Norfolk are working to redevelop some of the hood areas. Newport News/Yorktown area have a lot of development in the Patrick Henry Mall and northern Newport News area. Every store u can think of is in that area.

Going on Facebook and seeing all my friends I went to high school with in Chesapeake, the ones that didn't leave the area all seem to have multiple kids and we are all around 25/26 years old.

Good. Richmond has so much potential. those old warehouses need to be redeveloped. Fux up the optics to have them just sitting there. Glad they're capitalizing on the river. It's a jewel to have it running through the city, barring a 100 year flood or some shyt.

Yeah Hampton is working hard to redevelop the Mercury Blvd area and the old coliseum mall area. I haven't been there in a while since I don't work on the peninsula anymore.

Everybody in DC know Northern Va has the best women in the DMV hands down. Too many smoked out, shea butta fashionistas in DC and Maryland.

I lived in
Norfolk
Va Beach,
Hampton,
Alexandria
Springfield,
Woodbridge,
Shirlington (Arlington) $$$, and have visited Richmond many times.

I love me some Hampton and Norfolk. A lot of good clean women in Hampton and Newport News. 2 of my best gfs came from here. You guys just don't know where to go or how to move. My girl was at Hampton University when i met her, had to pick her up all the time. :takedat: So many beauties out there back then. You can win in ODU and ratchet azz Norfolk State too. I did. That was over 10 years ago, so things might have changed.

And you'll get your issue in Richmond and Norfolk. I live off of Tidewater and Lafayette near the DJ's Music & Videos store. It was hood, but had some thots out there. Some of the best days of my life.

Northern VA is one of the best places to raise kids in my opinion. They're probably going to be cornballs tho. VA doesn't have any real identity. They're confused about being Southern or more like New York, especially in the early 2000s.
