I never realized how good we had it on SOHH until coming to the coli. It was no fear there in terms of topic creation. I feel it was less bytch nikkas on SOHH , mods weren't as trigger happy . I do believe SOHH mods were in their feelings alot tho, I had warnings twice a month towards the end to which I poured gasoline out and a lit match when I and left

Real Rap Talk was RapcityZ main beef. We used to hate them nikkas lol. The real actual audio rappers had a battle and allat

Lowkey that whole rap forum wave in 99-04 was a mini golden age on the Internet. It was MAD of those sites with mad different members and personalities.

Used to be in 4th grade itching to get in the computer lab :pachaha:

What you tryna say? That you want a Director's Commentary of SOHHLOST? Ain't nobody got time for a dat. If you know, you know...

Sohh stands for Support Online Hip Hop, it was created by this lady named Felicia(?) when the internet was new and there was no hip hop per se on the internet. So it was mostly a news site. The forums were separate but technically was a minor part of the site. So most people would run across the site and start looking up the news until they found the forum. The forum was a twilight zone compared to the actual main site, and truth be told nobody really went to the main site.

There were a bunch of movements in the forums, the video mentions some of them

I think it was @Dre Space Age had some blog sites and video series called SOHHLOST where the people that got exposed on SOHH were listed. So the bulk of the videos is just people that got exposed on SOHH, they make sense and its funny if you were there and/or you recognize the usernames.

but in the end the video is a bunch of people that got exposed on SOHH and left the site and werent seen anymore, hence SOHHLOST, (although some came back or never left)

This is correct. I didn’t have anything to do with other sites though. But yeah it was basically about banned members. TLR asked me to do it and gave me pics, voice clips, songs and instrumentals. The best thing about SOHH was how cool and willing professional producers were to give me beats to use for other videos not just SOHHLOST. Still have some I’ve never posted. This Zelda and Prince beat I have around is so fukking dope.

i miss that 98-05 internet man. before the whole shyt got centralized around like 3 or 4 sites. the whole internet feels gentrified now and every single facet of it has been commodified. it kinda sucks now
