What "intangible" IT factor is J. Cole missing that Drake seems to have?

Females....Drake has the girls on lock. He appeases them so they support him on the charts. He knows how to keep them in lalaland and in that gooey aaaaawww mode ....all while snatching their dollars

I tried to listen to Take Care 5 times... There are full on RnB albums that go harder than this CD....don't forget his sound is all 40/Boi-1da

Where as JCole finally gave us a project with other producers ...
Drake has the clubs on lock too.

drake's music is more melodic a la catchy....cole is more focused on lyricism over melodies hence requiring more effort to listen to sometimes if the beat aint jamming...drake clearly has a better ear for beats/melodies....casual rap fans will gravitate more to the 'easier' listen

Agreed...but KRIT's commercial projects suffer because of it.

And Cole's first album is so terrible sonically...:snoop: but hey...do you :pachaha:

Man when I first listened to his new shyt, it sounded like they used a PS1 to mix that :childplease:

All the beats sound the same, his new CD sounds like that mixtape Lupe dropped that was one long ass track :sas1:

Being "poor" is black now?

:comeon: :why: Who said that? Drake was raised in a middle upper class Canadian neighborhood by his white family. They probably didn't even have Black dogs by his way. You can tell Cole's Black family had a big influence from the things he speaks about to his music. Drake's upbringing was so far removed from Black culture. Whites look at Drake & see the "Black" kid from Degrassi that would be the token "Black" friend around his white buddies. Drake definitely benefits more from his white privilege more than Cole has or ever will

where are these songs that Drake has for women though?

Damn near all his club stuff is straight street shyt.

I mean at this point you can't even name the last "soft" Drake track that got any traction in the last year besides "Just hold on"
Best I've Ever Had was soft ass record...

Find Your Loving was the beginning of the formula....

Take Care itself was a huge soft ass record....

Just Hold On was a huge soft ass record.....

He put on 'The Weeknd' 'PartyNextdoor' 'Majid Jordan' and 'ILoveMakkonen'. The lane he's going for is clearly women.

They buy records and support him. I've seen it myself.... Girls can't get enough of those appeasing soft joints and he knows it.
