What is one topic in school that Americans should embrace to make them smarter?

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
If black folks took statistics seriously a lot of the silly gender role arguments y'all Have would be obsolete further creating more unity.

But instead the topic of “why black men marry out” has become a real serious topic even tho studies show black men marry black women over 80% of the time

:mjlol:

perfect example of why topics like stats should be mandatory and honestly a student should be penalized if they get less than a B.

We need more WORKER UNIONS instead of everyone being skilled at STEM, cause if everyone being skilled at STEM, then that skill would be worthless because everyone has it, similar to the logic that if everyone has a bachelor's degree, then that degree becomes worthless since every adult has it.

We need more worker unions.

But in terms of public school education, we need economics and how to correct the exploitation of labor. We need to end the assumption that INFLATION is not caused by PRICE GOUGING.

Only thing about STEM is that technology is making the field wider and wider each day

Statistics.

People hate this class with a passion and will try to avoid it as much as possible but will sit online and post a low IQ article from Wallet Hub and completely ignore the American census.

* the minor off count in the census is 100,000,000 more efficient than a website using a small sample size to post a story.

i believe if Americans had a more open minded approach to statistics they could literally see through many of the BS media news articles and press releases thats posted regularly on the internet and use ACTUAL STATISTICS to debunk them.

The New York Post for example posts untrue data regularly yet I see people often share their news freely without looking for sources as to where the stats came from.

So yea Statistics is one class that could greatly improve the IQ of Americans
I took 3 statistics classes back in college, got all A's, I also killed my Econometrics class:ehh:

One thing I learned about statistics is that you can damn near find any stat that can back up what you're saying.

Even if you have to twist that number 20 different ways just to get it to fit your narrative you can do it.

That's why you need to learn stats and not take things you hear at face value.

A Critical Thinking course should be required for foreigners that are trying to get US citizenship.

I have notice throughout the years that a lot of foreigners lack basic Critical Thinking skills.

You’re looking at it through a diluted lens. Owning the arts and trades sectors are just as valuable if we start our own businesses and control all cash flow from those societal needs.
A plumber or electrician has the same ability to make as much as a surgeon and work the same amount of hours and both work with their hands, 1 is just held in higher regard in society but the trade off is 15 years of additional higher education.
Would you rather be a plumber or a doctor

.
Stem is a vague topic but it will never be worthless regardless of how many people are skilled in it

Mass communication should a mandatory subject from 9th grade to college graduation. I think a lot of relationships, job opportunities, and political ideas would be better if we made effective communication a thing. Heck, it might even solve the gender war problem once and for all

Neither, you know the pressure doctors have on them if they fk up? A single Malpractice suit can take strip you of your whole life. I’m also not touching other peoples shut with my hands so plumbing is out.
