You always lose the game you don’t play.

This is why during the election I’ve always said if you vote for Jill stein nationally or something, still vote because local politics are probably going affect you more actually. Also it’s a case where your vote feels like it really count. Look at the state house race in VA where it’s hinging on literally one vote.

in your example you said there were only two candidates and they were both corrupt... so are you saying no one should vote in that scenario at all.....? decisions will still be made....

i respect your beliefs because they are unwavering.... however, no one is perfect or even near perfection... the best we can do is try to improve.... so i'd rather support the closest to what i believe than allow the person furthest from my beliefs make the decisions in my life.... some people think when they are voting for a politician that they are voting for a god.... i'm just voting for an employee... try telling a business owner that the best way to get great employees is to not hire anyone at all....

You will always find "good" reasons not to participate in a vote, hardly any candidate at a high level is totally "clean".That's precisely one of the main problems of presidential regimes where you end up having to choose among two persons (Trump vs Clinton, Macron vs Le Pen), as opposed to a parlementarian system where you vote for a party among others (that system has it's own flaws too, obviously, especially government forming if no party has a clear majority).

Not in the presidential election tho, I would have if Rand or Sanders won the nomination.
