As usual, most of the qualities people attribute to masculinity are qualities that aren't gender specific and the ones that are, disqualify a large portion of males. For example, being a good father.

This is like putting "being a decorated athlete at some level" in the masculinity rolodex. Yes it can be done but 95% of us won't get it so that particular trait becomes negligent/icing on the cake rather than a requisite.
