This is like putting "being a decorated athlete at some level" in the masculinity rolodex. Yes it can be done but 95% of us won't get it so that particular trait becomes negligent/icing on the cake rather than a requisite.

Someone who doesn't get in his feelings too much ie. fragile ego, someone who does manly things like open doors without the need to be thanked, someone who fixes and builds things by hand, someone who is a little bit stoic, someone who understands his physical strength and would never use it against a woman ( unless in a life threatening situation), someone who isn't above working multiple jobs to provide for his family if necessary, someone whose ultimate goal is to self sufficient, someone who isn't afraid to die for a cause he truly believes in.

My dad was disabled and did all these things so there's really no excuse...

When they show those traits more consistently they'll be gender-neutral until then we lean towards men exhibiting them.

A man who has pride in himself, and is confident in his actions. A man who can think for himself, and is a leader to himself and others. A man who can provide for his family. A man who can protect and defend those who are close to him, and the weak. A man who has a sense of honor, is intelligent, is hardworking, and doesn't let anyone emasculate, or disrespect his manhood. A man who commands respect. A man who can uplift his women, and guide them to greatness. And a man who can assert himself, yet process and deal with rising issues in a logical manner.


Looking at some of these answers, it's sad that a lot of brothas have a very warped sense of masculinity, as well as femininity. Our people are lost.
