Me myself i'm a early person if i have to be somewhere at 9 i'll get there at 8:45-8:50.I hate when someone tells you they will arrive at a certain time then they show up 10 minutes + late and think everything all hunky dorey.Pisses me off.

Yo, I'll be there in five minutes, five hours later ...I'll be there in five minutes 
it all depends... I think jobs firing people over having like 20 1 minute lates.. I mean.. thats just petty 
1 minute dont effect shyt, ever, in any situation in any job except maybe something like refinery (I never worked on one, so no idea if it does or not)
but people being like 30 minutes late a lot thats just lazy or careless
depends on a lot really.. basically if you are in a job like say a DJ needs to be there at 10 pm and we cant let people in the club til your set up, you better not be arriving at 10:10 pm
but if you selling phones or cars or some shyt and your shift starts at 1 pm and you come in at 1:01 pm no harm no foul really..

i hate that shyt and try to never be late. my biggest thing with my wife now is she always makes us late somewhere but i guess thats all women. my shift starts at 6am but i make sure i come in at 5 45am to get shyt ready to go.
on thursdays i leave at 12pm and the dude that relieves me always gets here @12pm on the dot even tho im supposed to brief him before i leave. so i end up leaving at 12:15 cause of him all the time

I used to work for low income housing,I was mostly doing recertification and preparing leases. My supervisor wanted to get rid of me so badly I got a write up for literally being one minute late to work.

I like to be early so if I know someone is late like by more than 10 minutes continually, I just deem them unreliable. I'm an impatient person and I hate waiting around, it's agonizing.

For me it's a matter of respect. There was this really cute chick I used to mess with who was perennially late. First time we were supposed to go out she was 30 mins late (she says she was 30 mins late, I left after 20). She called me yelling and bytching and asking who the fukk i thought I was.

It basically comes down to how important something is to someone. If it's important to you, you'll be on time.
It's one of the things in life that drive me crazy. How can you be the one to set up the meeting time, and still be late??

Depends on the person, situation, etc. Like someone said, if you're a minute late one day and you're usually good with punctuality, then I see no problem. When you're habitually late though, . I'm thinking you just don't give a shyt.
