there used to be a lot of that actually. yall just too stuck in wu-world. for instance, youre bragging about wutang touring overseas, as if bone thugs don't tour overseas too.
and lol @ the idea of wutang headlining a major rap tour in 2016. they didn't even do this when they were poppin.
the rest of your post was a bunch of industry stuff. I don't care about wutang getting anniversary write-ups and stuff like that. bone gets that stuff as well anyway. do yall pay attention to rap outside of just your favorite artists? cuz that's the general feeling I always get whenever a wutang debate is going on.

the thread was extremely simple... LEVEL.... as in 2016... what level is each group at and why didn't bone sustain their level
now the first thing they will say is sales sales sales sales.... ok that was THEN... and it actually makes their point even worse.. cause if you doing quadruple plat and doing double and triple the album sales... then why in the fukk does nobody care about you in 2016?? what stopped you from maintaining that level?? why isn't the bone symbol as big as the wu symbol... surely the same white people who bought wu shyt, bought bone shyt correct??
then they'll flip it into single albums don't count... ummmmm why not?? were the single albums by some other nikkas?? nah it was a group of people who also made albums... but wait.... didn't bone members put out single albums too?? sure did... so why didn't their single albums have the lasting power to sustain that LEVEL??? i mean they even have bone in their damn names... surely that name recognition alone would propel them to the same status as the group album right??
then it's cause it's nyc.... isn't there 1092141293 rappers and groups from nyc? why aren't all those from 1993 still around doing shyt and getting their groups brought up??

the real answer is wu created something original... a sound, a movement, a symbol, and great music that stood the test of time... you can still play cream today... you can still play hits off those solos albums.... they still have classics upon classics
they had charisma... method man is known today... odb dead forever and people still know him... he out here doing classics with mariah carey that can still be sung word for word... not to mention his singles...
they had a plan.... nikkas acitng like the solo shyt was a good guess... nah they were the FIRST to have a contract as group that could do separate solos... they planned the shyt from day 1.... they didn't stick to just music... they had hands in everything... you can still see their clothing line out here.. you can still turn on a movie and catch one of them in it... you can still see rza scoring movies and directing movies and doing his thing in hollywood
one weird white guy.... before he bought it was there not a buzz?? were they not previewing the shyt in museums? were fans not angry it wasn't going out to the public? were radio, websites and print not talking of this album for a good year before it was sold? was it not up for bid? so you think he just came out his ass and said 2 milly even tho nobody on earth was bidding for it or got above 200k?
this could have been a real thread... with real bone fans... giving real reasons why they didn't do everything listed above...

3-6 got members more well known than mo thugs. 3-6 does better than bone at the momembt. They never sold Mils and mills either.

Yes ive listened to more different sets of artists than anyone i know. I supplied my entire town with different hip hop music. Put everyone on shyt. Wu is the premier group.everyome from kast to cannibal ox to living legends to death grips to whoever else reaches a level where i get to hear them.
And wu hit more peaks than any group. Thats why even tho they dodnt sell, they are still in the scene and get love. 20 years. Where were the 80s legends eho were bigger still doing 20 years after their debut? Whats bone doing? If wu tang does anything it gets press.

lol @ rock the bells being a tour. its a yearly event that runs 2 or 4 days. and has like 40 acts. theres no real headliners for that, regardless of who that prop up at the top.
and all those acts do their own touring throughout the year.
