Did someone just mention Jeremih???

Anyways, as mentioned before. R&B just aint in the maintream like it used to be. Back in the day you could turn on the radio and see great video, songs with MEANINGFUL lyrics, excellent production, artists with class, style, and susbstance.....I dont know what happened but sh1t changed somewhere in the early 2000s mainstream wise.
We went from doowop, the soul/motown era in the 70's (marvin, stevie, aretha, earth wind and fire etc), to disco (sister sledge, donna summer etc), to the boogie/post disco era of the early 80s (evelyn champagne king, d-train, sos band etc) to new jack swing (karyn white, jody watley, al b sure, jodeci, guy etc) to the hiphop soul era (mary j, swv, aaliyah, ginuwine, etc), to the late 90s/early 2000s (carl thomas, donell jones, erykah, jill etc).... then that it was a wrap.
The last "group" of cats that came out in that early 2000's era was the last time R&B in the mainstream was good to me. That Carl Thomas, Musiq, Dave Hollister (solo), Donell Jones, Erykah Badu etc era. Then mainstream R&B went downhill. Now instead of having the music in front of you like we used to, you have to get up and go and look for it and REALLY look cause sh1t isnt out there like its supposed to be or how it used to be, which I believe isnt fair at all.
Most of the good r&b is sh1t that is considered Urban AC (Adult Contemporary) and appears mostly on UAC R&B charts and Urban AC radio. Thats the only R&B I can fukk with in terms of this eras R&B these days.
Sh1t like this...

Had songs like these been released in the early 2000s and prior, they would be huge R&B hits, but in todays world? Sadly they mostly get ignored in the mainstream, with a few exceptions of course.
Its sad when all the techno pop garbage and fake wannabe sh1t like Rihanna, Jeremih, Drake, Trey Songz etc. are called "R&B".
