What was the biggest reason for the drop off sales wise between Diddy’s 1st and 2nd albums?

The type of rap music that was popular changed and the quality of his new shyt was awful. I was a huge puff fan based off the first album (I was 10) but when the single dropped off forever, he was bushes status. Not sure how he even thought that was a good idea. To this day I’ve never listened to Forever.

Hip Hop changed sonically and Forever came out sounding two years behind the times. Puff and Mase came back with the same old formula when Swizz Beatz, Mannie Fresh, and Timbaland were killing it. Nobody was on the wave of sampling old 80's joints and making hits of them. Only "Satisfy You" stuck.

Puff wasn't the most popular person either because he changed his image from the peace maker to the thug. He was out here denouncing thugs before, but here he was on that wave.
