Haven’t listened to it since it dropped but I remember liking it. Will have to check it on Spotify or add it to my phone.

Dope Album!

Chess theme of the album was
:ohlawd: :banderas: :wow:

Hoping for a following up.

Underrated gem of the early 00s:salute:

...the way GZA went HAM on Queen's Gambit:fire: with NFL's analogy:banderas:

She date jolly green Giants that flew on Jets:jawalrus:

Love that track.

Dope album and what Wu should've been doing the last 15 years. Let Muggs, Alc, etc. produce whole solo/group albums since RZA don't really produce like that any more.

Fred.

Yes, other producers of that caliber do their thing.
Dap + Rep.
Bingo.

I clearly remember liquid swords, beyond the surface and the album with paper plane's (because of this fifty diss) but i vaguely remember or care about his projects with Muggs.. although I love the track he did on soul assassin's, Fat lady sings!

In some ways this was the precursor to the underground rapper & producer collabo album that is standard now. It was pretty unique at the time. Them early Muggs vs albums really laid the groundwork for people like Alchemist, Preservation, Conductor etc

Although Madvillainy and those early 9th Wonder collabos were important too.

Grandmasters and Ka's The Night's Gambit compliment eachother well.

This album is good BUT this is probably the epitome of lazy GZA flow. It's like he crafted the most incredible verses, then got mad that he had to recite them. Then he continues this laziness on ProTools.

Matter of fact, A Better Tomorrow was the most inspired he's sounded in over a decade...then goes back to lazy on Clientele 2. But that track is probably from during that time.
