I was going to say the number one problem with the NBA beating the NFL is the NBA is a superstar player driven league (a black superstar driven league at that). It takes a while for a player to reach that status and there aren't that many players that do. You have about 7-10 years of that superstar and then you need new stars to take its place to keep the popularity going. I have so many friends that were Kobe stans that now that he's retired aren't as interested anymore. They still watch but not the same. A friend of mine is a huge LeBron stan who didn't really care for basketball until Bron became a superstar. When LeBron retires I can see him not caring as much. Another friend was a Wade stan and as soon as he fell off, he stopped caring as much about Miami as well. Another friend who now supports the Wizards but only because of Wall and that they're winning. All of these people are also football fans of Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins, etc and no matter whose on the team or what success the team has they always support and are enthusiastic about the team.

NCAA fans don't really follow their favorite players onto the NBA. Many NCAA fans don't even care for basketball as whole. Do you think there's many Duke fans that cheer for the Clippers because of Reddikk? Or Uconn fans that cheer for Charlotte because of Kemba Walker? What if you're a Kentucky fan are you really cheering for the Wizards, Pelicans, etc

Nah, there are no "nevers" in this world.

If Black athletes end up taking over the quarterback position in the league though, you'll see a decline in popularity in the NFL. Or if an influx of white (American) superstars come into the NBA, you'll see another spike in basketball. A lot of this shyt is , football is still a sport where you get to visibly see white men in control, and that matters to this country.
