thug life gets him into the top 15.
Thug life is waaaaaay b better than illmatic, but that's all subjective.
It's a fact that illmatic made less impact than pac's second album.
So how is that a big enough deal to make him top 5?
If you weren't relevant and making new music, you weren't relevant anymore period. It's the same way today. There weren't white people and suburban nigs fighting to keep older Hip Hop alive back then like there are now. Listening to old music from a few years ago was like wearing dogged messed up dirty old sneakers from a few years ago
.
The Chronic solidified his status as a contender to the GOAT title and Doggystyle was simply the sequel to the Chronic. Back then everything coming out was GOAT contender status from Tribe to Wu-Tang to Pac to Biggie.
Rap was literally getting better everyday back in 94'.
And I was ten years old and I knew this. Hearing a classic for the first time when its brand new is almost a spiritual experience. It's different from hearing a catchy song that bangs or listening to a hot song that has no replay value six months to a year later.
tryin to tell me people don't get bullied at times on posse cuts... not that I necessarily agree but people get bullied, but that's not the discussion here
