Fine she rapped part time but outrapped virtually all the East on a whim and had more fame than any of them too except perhaps Kim and Latifah so that's even more impressive

Anyone checking for TLC back then knew she had the most mic talent of them for a reason

It doesn't matter what you or me or anyone here thinks about this.. More people nationwide acknowledged Lisa Left Eye Lopes as a brilliant MC than MC Lyte. This is a statistical fact.

Stop tryna rewrite history. And stop actin like girl groups were big like that and it was easier, TLC was basically the first mainstream one

For one, you don't know Lyte or Latifah didn't write. Having a song here or a verse there written doesn't mean an artist doesn't write at all.

Secondly, no, the girl who mighta done 5 or 6 raps in the middle of songs on the CrazySexyCool album was not a legit contender for best female MC in '94. She had some skills, but let's be serious. Only girls who didn't really listen to rap would say some shyt like that
