What would Nintendo have to do with the NX to get you onboard?

pretend like everyone wasnt playing catch up to the monster that was the wii brehs :mjlol:
Until you realize the Wii was the best selling console yet the first to be replaced. 70% of the non-Nintendo games for the thing had to be shovel ware. People bought the Wii and when the gimmick wore off the consoles just sat there. Both Sony and Microsoft brought on motion controls and he'll Sony pretty much abandoned them months later Microsoft tried a few years longer but abandoned them too and even Nintendo doesn't utilize them anymore.

We've never seen a 100 million + selling console die off and get abandoned so fast.

The Wii was a shortsighted release by Nintendo. They cashed in on the casuals at the expense of the hardcore crowd.

Nintendo will NEVER go third party I don't know what kool-aid some of you are drinking
Their last console sold the worst of all of their consoles in a time where console sales are insanely high. 13 or so million in like 3.5 years is pathetic.

Nintendo will go third party. It's just going to take a while to happen. They're already committing to making mobile games something they said they'd never do. At some point they open their eyes and see there's no point for them to produce home consoles anymore. Just like Sony opened their eyes and realized the Playstation Vita and portable Playstation devices are a waste of time.

It will take another flop or so but Nintendo will get the message.

Nintendo could invest in independent 3rd party developers that can creates tons of new IPs, on top of making more varied games than their competitors, who still on that first person shooter phase. Variation and exclusives will win at a time where more and more hardcore gamers are pissed off of the lack of variety.

Most of the 3rd party companies that survived the last 10 years of the recession, are out of ideas. They can drop their franchises for the NX, just that gaming needs new IPs from new developers that can make their games downloadable. Gaming can't take another generation of graphics hounds copying off one another, or else it will crash.

First party wise, Nintendo can drop brand new games at launch and drop HD remakes for cheap. They have to be aggressive with it, cause they don't have the Sony stanbase/ excuses that allows them to go 3 years without an exclusive AAA game.

Also make their products Apple and Android friendly. And keep it simple at the same time.
:mjlol:

I mean are we just going to gloss over Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank? And as of today, there's still 7 months to go until PS4 hits 3 years. In 3 weeks UC4 drops. :blessed:

I dunno. Did I enjoy the games on WiiU? Yes for the most part but the whole overall experience that surrounded the Wiiu left a bad taste in my mouth. #1 being third party, how they treated the WiiU like it had leprosy or something. Then the whole kiddy Nintendo policy with the voicechat or banning for saying "poop"or something. The online experience is not as fun as xbox or ps4. And the name... the name alone just makes me :scust:

I don't think I will be able to buy another Nintendo console. Zelda may be the last game. I don't know man. I DON'T KNOW! It's weird.

Yup the online was another thing that I felt was sorely lacking for most Wii U games. No voice chat, no OS level party system, no ethernet port, weak hardware resulting in last gen looking games etc.

I stopped playing the Wii U online because the experience tarnished the game imo. It wasn't fun playing Smash Bros Wii U online where lag is random and/or Splatoon where it's fun as hell but there's no way to communicate in game.

The majority of gamers no longer want Nintendo hardware and won't buy it just to play Nintendo exclusive games.

Nintendo and Sony should come together like they almost did back in the day. Sony handles the home console and Nintendo does the portable. They both do what they're good at and let the other handle their weak area.

According to the leaked documents from a year and a half ago, the only thing Nintendo and Sony are working on together is animated Super Mario movie.

:jbhmm: within the first 6 months, we need a Super Mario 3D game, Zelda, Metroid. That's fukking non-negotiable at this point. If that's not happening, I'm not copping one because they're obviously not taking this video game shyt serious.

Microsoft looks more likely to go out of the console business at this point... By the way none of us should want anyone to go third party a duopoly/monopoly isn't good for consumers.

In answer to the OP I'm a Wii U owner but I certainly won't be getting the NX at launch...
