Everywhere...You never there.
Relationships

Soft skills
Message ^ ... for everything outside of the highly specialized, highly technical positions ... which are the overwhelming majority of jobs in the US.

Really gotta :salute: folks outchea grinding with little to no network and/or a impotent, essentially useless network ...

Cold job applying and interviewing to such jobs getting rejection after rejection can be mentally taxing ... y’all keep fighting the good fight tho.

And get ya network up :usure:

Alot of people have worked hard but not had the breaks others have.

Some people start at 3rd base others start in the dugout

U didnt have to work to hard to get to home plate from 3rd base

Rich people

And u lucky to go from the dugout and get to home plate.

Poor people

Success isn't related to financial status imo.

But if you mean what is more crucial in getting you financial security it's soft skill, tact, and intelligence.

Even if you aren't the sharpest, having tact and common sense can get you really really far.

Luck is just that, random chance. But what you luck upon depends on the position you put yourself in.

Getting lucky because you invested in the right company or getting lucky you didn't OD, or get robbed while out partying are both random, but you position yourself in that situation for it to happen.

Which begs the question can you be generally succesful in life without the financial security. Is that even possible
A successful painter sells more painting than less successful or average ones which equals financial prosperity
A successful entrepreneurship is literally measured in terms of profit and revenue
A successful farmer plants and yields more crops and as a result makes more money than competitors etc

So can you be succesful without financial prosperity:patrice:

I listen to a podcast called How I Built This.. where the interviewer asks famous and established people (Daymond John was it on it) on how they started up their business and the obstacles they faced in the process.

At the end of the interview the interviewer asks these business people whether their sucess is due to hard work or luck.... The majority of them state that even though they worked hard, it was luck that helped determine their success... and when they speak of luck they usually mean being born in the right environment/to the right family, meeting the right people at the right time as well as other obstacles that happened to go in their favour.

Hard work is crucial but luck usually tips it when determining your success.

Been born to the right family: The heir's and heiresses of billionaires and multimilionaires will have an
extremely hard time to piss away their inheritance/families wealth

Knowing the right people and networking is far more important in the corporate world, especially as a fresh
undergraduate than almost anything else well apart from what university you graduated from which more often than not is dependent on been born into an Ivy league legacy family, the luck of having a parent with enough resurces to donate/buy your way into one of the top schools, just ask Jared kushner

Over 70 percent of new businesses fail and I refuse to believe that all those 70 percent of failed businesses is a result of laziness.

So for every rag to riches success stories, there are 4 stories of wealth inheritance and continuation of family successful legacy

Hard work is important for sucess, atleast for maintaining it but I will argue that luck is more important.

Discuss

So lets take higher education as an example. Most people from very humble background who went to an ivy had to utilise hard work in order to get in and to get that degree.
But success is subjective to an individuals own ambition and expectation. You cannot have success without having a formula or multiple formulas that deliver consistent results.Work ethic is apart of the formula and you cannot build wealth without consistency. You cannot rank one above the other. And luck is just factor that goes beyond your own control.

Hard work more important than luck tho

Lets say you get lucky, get a break and have the opportunity to kill it. Are you prepared for it?

Only hardwork dedication and consistency builds you up for those crucial do or die moments in life. You cant just wing ya way to the top like that

The game will test you
