You said a bunch of nothing. People drive cars without license all the time. You know nothing about driving until u have access to a car, you know nothing about guns until you have access to a gun. And in both cases bad things can happen. Kids steal cars, people steal guns.
The absolute ignorance in your comment is both impressive and sad.
Are you seriously going to state that you knew absolutely nothing about a car before getting into the driver's seat?
No one ever told you about the importance of seat belts, adjusting your mirrors, how to properly use your signals, the meaning of traffic signs, speed limits in different areas, basic routine maintenance on the car, etc. ?
Did you not have to report to a DMV location and provide knowledge via a state provided test either written, practical, or both? Are you not required to have an active insurance policy if you own a motor vehicle?
Are you seriously implying that people can go from never having seen a car in person or being a passenger to being handed keys and driving one?
I refuse to believe that you own a gun or have even fired a gun if you believe that "you know nothing about guns until you have access to a gun".
There are courses available at almost every gun range in every state that do a great job at orientating people who have never held or even seen a gun in person before allowing them to fire it.
The point of my post is that these courses are not even legally required to purchase a gun and they should be.
Your last comment (along with your entire post) "in both cases bad things can happen. Kids steal cars, people steal guns" doesn't even deserve a response, but we've gone this far so why not?
The fact that unqualified individuals have illegally obtained guns or cars is not an excuse to completely ignore the necessity for proper training.
You sir, are the one that "said a bunch of nothing" and should educate yourself before responding about a serious topic such as gun rights.
