They have the funding. They are not allowed to deny these people from obtaining guns. Ironically President Obama just spoke on this a couple weeks ago. They have the ability to put people on a "no fly" list, but they do not have an ability to put those same people on a "no gun" list.

The war on drugs was never to prevent drugs from coming in this country. It is/was solely a tactic to attack and control minorities. The "war on drugs" worked exactly as planned.

Not a comparable situation here. Again. Guns don't grow on trees. Criminals get them the same way non-criminals do. It makes all the sense in the world to better vett and scrutinize people that want to obtain weapons.

where is the war on illegal guns? We should be able to protect ourselves. I do agree that there should be a psychological evaluation and hippa and the fbi need to get more involved in the application process but at the end of the day if someone wants a gun, they'll get a gun illegal or legal.

The "criminals" are just going to buy the guns were they are easy to buy with little to no identification, and they are bringing them into the city. These guns aren't being stolen, they aren't being shipped from the Middle East. They are being purchased LEGALLY right on American soil.
