Honestly, income is relative and it's based upon your bills that you have. Just live below your means. I know this is easier said than done though.

Can someone please justify paying a $250 car note on a base model Nissan Sentra vs buying a 10-15 year old fully loaded Lexus in cash :jbhmm:

Reliability. That 10-15 year car will catch up to you and the frequent trips to the shop is gonna run. You can probably find even a cheaper car than the sentra. Or, find a gently used card, no more than 4 or 5 years old.

Depending on mileage on the Lexus, Nissan would probably last you longer without worrying about potentially costly repair and upkeep

Lexus are usually reliable so I'd probably still rock with that anyway.

Did your friend do that ?

Depends where he lives. If he lives in a place where he has to drive, I don't think it's dumb at all.

If he can get everywhere with public transportation then he can get a old car, but I think it's better to get as new of a car as you can if you have to drive everywhere and there's no public transportation like that.

I’m actually very frugal. That’s why I know it’s not enough. It’s enough in the sense that I can pay all my bills, save some money, and entertain myself. But I need more than that. People be failkn

I mean...I guess it's different strokes for different folks....:hubie:

When your bag ain't super long...you gotta perfect your research...budgeting...and finessing methods...that's all.

I'm a simple man. I've gotten by wit less...still rode clean...still dressed nice....etc. Of course you may need to finesse here and there...but again...I guess it just depends on the individual. I'm content...if I drive a nice car...have some nice clothing pieces...can step out when I want to...and stack a little bread on the side. :manny:

I can get that off easily at 50K and I've done it with less. I don't need the newest Benz that dropped either.

A Toyota/Lexus are bulletproof reliable whips from my experience. I currently own a 1993 Toyota Camry that I drive up to 50-75 miles a day(I do construction), never had a problem..never left me stranded

But whats the point in spending that bread on a new cheap car when you can buy something older that drives just as good and thats reliable. Lets be honest brehs, we all see 6'3 grown men driving around in a tiny ass Chevy Cruze in the name of having something "economical"

Are most Lexus and toyotas good enough you wouldn't need a mechanic to check it out?

What is the cheapest one you could get if you needed a car asap without it being a bullshyt car?
