People have the right to say offensive things. They don't have a right to feel good about it. If you decide to hide your true feelings out of fear of political correctness, that's a choice that you've made. If I say something offensive and someone objects. I have a choice, I can try to understand their point of view and refrain from the behavior in question or I can say "fukk their feelings". Either response is acceptable in a free society and both responses may provoke reactions from the offended party, but society is under no obligation to protect you from the response. That's what so laughable about the anti-pc crowd they want to be protected from other people's response to their offensive speech and behavior. It's quite ironic.

If there's one thing about the current political environment (besides the blatant 'cism) that annoys me it's this.
And I guess Trump exemplifies it, but it's far from just him. But when did "Not being an a$$hole" become a synonym for being "politically correct"? We now seem to be in a political environment where simply being respectful of people and not going out of your way to be an a$$hole is considered a moral failing.
Anybody else starting to feel like this? This whole anti-PC movement seems to be at the point where it's really just an excuse for people to express their bigoted opinions and accuse anybody who criticizes them of being sensitive or members of the PC police.
It's more than annoying these days.

I agree. They have a right to say whatever they want...free speech is free speech. I'm in no way suggesting it should be illegal or some shyt like that.
But you don't think they should face any social consequences? If my mother's boss or coworker starts calling her out her name and using slurs I don't want it to be considered acceptable, they should get fired or face some sort of consequence. I don't want shyt like that to be considered normal or acceptable.

If by social consequence you mean loss of business and support than yea that's only natural. I'm addressing this new breed of social justice warrior who spend all day looking for things to be offended about then won't stop until they have absolutely destroyed the life of anyone they disagree with.
We're past just social consequences, these people will attempt to rile up the dumber sheep to the point of inciting violence and property destruction. Its counter productive.
Everybody is free to say what they want. Right now you call whoever whatever. If other people don't like it and ostracize individuals because of what's said that's their decision.
