Young Thug, Migos, Cheef Keef, Meek Mills and such are the main ones getting pushed.
The only ones out that group that has any buzz is Thug and Mill.
And the only one that sells records out that group is Meek Mill.
Cheef Keef is beyond washed.
Young Thug, Migos, Cheef Keef, Meek Mills and such are the main ones getting pushed.
That would shock me but if true so be it. I think tech is concious. And y'all is the short form of you all, not just you brah.
His three albums have sold a total of 190K out of his own mouth.

Immortal Technique is "conscious", nor do I label anything conscious.
I never said anything about 2Pac.
If you read and listen to interviews from the oldschool cats, many feel that HipHop was in it's purest form when it was closer to Disco and the MC's were giving off more of a party vibe while being backed by a DJ. Some think when MC's started to become more of the full blown modern rapper it killed the original vibe with the 4 elements.
(hope I haven't seen it already)
They all get radio push. The only ones out that group that has any buzz is Thug and Mill.
And the only one that sells records out that group is Meek Mill.
They all get radio push.
In a few months from now another street rapper will get a push as well.
They are all street rappers lol.Keef is not on the radio. If you do hear him, it's Don't Like from 2012, usually the remix with Kanye and Pusha T on it.
Dudes like Trinidad James, etc get one song and it's a wrap. There is no push.
And considering most people don't fukk with the radio anymore but are using services like YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music, people get to hear what they want.
It's 2015, not 1995.

Thats not gangsta rap.If anything I feel like conscious Hip Hop is becoming more mainstream. People are tired of all the gangsta rap sheet hence reason a lot of gangsta stay local. J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and the rising Big Krit are all conscious rappers.
They all get radio push.
In a few months from now another street rapper will get a push as well.
2 out of what?So does j.cole and so does Kendrick.
Hell Conscious rap is just as commercialized as gangster rap

Again. Not conscious. And that only applies to Kendrick.Yeah...actually TDE is a mix of conscious rap with a lil NWA appeal...nice mix if they do it right![]()
This isnt true.Fake gangsta or street or whatever you want to call them they are the main ones getting pushed by the labels.
Labels dont want to push conscious rappers no more because the small amount of morality in the mainstream rap scene is gone.
It is true, rap is less about a statement or an art or a movement. This isnt true.
Its been shown that they'll push anything that sells. Even if its "conscious" Most of these dudes just dont sound good
